+1, but I am aware of the cost of my scheduled maintenance and so I have prepared for it.
+1 I don't use it as a daily driver either, but know people who do.

Smoore - I haven't the foggiest idea where you take your 360, but when properly maintained, they really aren't problematic as a daily driver. Again you have to maintain them, but by scheduled maintenance usually. I use a highly regarded Maryland F-car service center (Competizione) and see their customers completely satisfied with their F-cars as daily drivers. But, owning a 360 means timing belts every 3-5 years whereas owning a 430 doesn't.

My 430 has cost less than 1K/year on average to maintain over 4 years. Granted I've also bought tires and brake pads but that's the price of tracking and the tires are less expensive than a Vette's and the brake pads not a whole lot more either.

My 328's have averaged perhaps 1500./year and I drive/drove them a lot. I don't know where the 3-6K/year number comes from. I would not own one at that level.

Have owned my 89 328 GTS for 6.5 years and have logged between 10-11k miles. It's been a very good reliable car and hasn't left me stranded. I've calculated an annualized expense of $2875/year for maintenance/repair (w/c included a major service, elective clutch change, and new aircon in '06). It's also dealer-serviced. I think this is cheap by Ferrari/or any exotic car standard, but Ferrari ownership will never be cheap.

Me too...and that a "comparison" would even be attempted with a Honda NSX. Now, if we were talking a "Type-R" NSX, now that would be a totally different story...LOL!!

Not too mention parts are not available very quickly sometimes - even on new cars. I waited 6 weeks for a replacement dashboard on a brand new 599 once. I find the only way that I can accept the "quirks" is to have enough Ferraris that one or two in the sick bay doesn't bother me that much

    Again,

if you find a good independant ferrari center (they exist near most metropolitan areas) you will be just fine..

it won't cost much to maintain or fix compared to any other expensive car (mercedes AMG, M class BMW)

reliability? I would say the newer f cars (360 and up) are as reliable as other modern cars..

I do all my own maintenance on all the fleet.
i have found that Ferrari parts for the Mondial are generally in line with the cost of the same parts for the wife's Volvo. There a few outriders like TRX tires which is why i am replacing them with later convex Mondial wheels then tire price is the same.
Yes the Ferrari needs more maintenance but it is well worth it.
