Can anyone recommend a good wheel repair guy, preferrably in the OC?

    TIA

One year later, still trying to hook up with Son Tran. Any other recommendations for mobile wheel repair in OC?

didnt say if its a borrani or a current model but if its just curb rash and not lip bent/tweaked have the wheel dis mountef and take it to any upscale body shop.they can sand the affected area and paint/polish your wheel correcty

These guys disassemble the wheel, re-work it, weld, heat, turn, whatever it takes. Prices are fair to a bit high, return of product may take 2-3 weeks...but OMG they do flawless work!!

    Good luck!

I also used velvet. They come to you. Can't remember the guy's name who did the work, but he did a great job. Apparently there are only two guys they put on F car wheels, so you should be in good shape with them. If you need the name of the guy that did mine, give a shout and I will look for it.

With any mobile wheel repair, I suggest you either have the wheel taken off for the repair or cover the entire car and mask up the inside portion of the rim and brakes.

Thank you. Sounds like perhaps you have first-hand experience behind this suggestion?

Probably cautious advice but I can say that he did mine while on the car and no problems at all with any overspray or damage. He was very careful.

Unfortunately I have had experience with this on 2 occassions. While it may not happen to everyone, everytime, I would rather cover the car and not worry about it. Tape up the brake calipers, inner rims etc.

One car had slight overspray on the side panel and hood, the other car still has overspray on the interior of a few rims. I "feel" it every time I clean the rims. When I get the tires changed, I am going to have the overspray removed.

Velvet Touch repaired my wheel today to "as-new" condition. 30 minutes, on the car, no overspray, $125.

    Thanks for all the feedback.
