Still road legal Mark. Just got back from the PFFC round at Castle Combe - great fun as usual and those of us towards the rear of the grid have no hangups about driver inability! The GT4 makes a great race car and a certain Mr Chris Rea did very well in his today at Combe - a well sorted car in good hands. Mine is a bit of a work in progress and I'm still very lacking in "seat time"...(I've got plenty of other excuses as well!)
... I saw David's car too, but look out for mine tomorrow (3rd Sept) on page 148 in the same magazine under "Your Classic". Lee. Lovely on those 16" wheels. Looks the biz. Here's one of mine taken last weekend after a quick hose down. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Richard I shall keep my eye out for your CSCC feature - well done! Does that mean you get a dodgy cartoon as well... Interestingly CSCC were down at Castle Combe on Monday interviewing and photographing for a feature on the Ferrari Formula Classic series so look out for that in a month or so. We seem to be getting plenty of exposure for our 308s recently.
Another rear 3/4 view with the new gold wheels for racing. Mrs W thought they were tacky and didn't grasp the concept of homage (silent "h", french accent please) to past great Ferrari sports cars! Image Unavailable, Please Login
David.... yes it does!! I shall be imortalised in crayon, hope they've taken a few pounds off? Lots of GT4 exposure, and quite rightly so! Your gold wheels are very "BB", want a couple of quid for the unloved silver ones?
my favourite view of the GT4 is the high 3/4 rear view. chassis 12466 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jeeze. just like a thread like this to make u second guess yur decision on yur first ferrari. Nice stuff.
agreed - car looks great from the high rear 3/4 makes you realise how much of the car is engine bay and buttress. great packaging job by Bertone IMHO Mark Taiwan/UK
Here pictures of my GT4 racer - some of when it last raced and a couple showing the work involved to fit a new roll cage and update the chassis after 10 years of racing . It should be done for next year when I will race it in the Owners Club Championship alternating with my 308GTB racer (also photo) I have owned a GT4 and a GTB since I was sixteen years old and love them both to bits and thats why I have two of each - one for road and one for track . NART spoiler like this. Anyone got one lying around or know somone making copies? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I assume that is like the one on davidgt4 's avatar..? funny i think i have some pics of an original NART gt4 but they would be back home in the UK. I remember visiting Chinettis (sp?) place in about 1978/9 with my Dad. I think they were in Greenwich or thereabouts. are those spoilers available or in fact any of the other add-ons like that? Mark
perfect set up. your car(s) look great. i wish i was back in the UK more often to catch some of these events. the gt4 looks particulary brutal and the the rebuild pics look really interesting - got any more you can post here? thanks for sharing. Mark Taiwan/UK
