Of course the answer is no. But:

If the FIA finds Renault guilty of arranging last year's Singapore GP crash, then the logic conclusion would be to throw out Alonso's victory. That would mean Rosberg moves up and gets his first win ever.

It would also mean, that Hami moves up and gets two extra points, which would make the gap between him and Massa 3 points instead of 1. :)

I can see why Piquet Jr. may want to see this win taken from Alonso. The final standings in 2008 for Renault drivers was Alonso's 61 to Piquet's 19. Piquet's contract required him to score 40% of Alonso's tally at season's end. Throw out the Singapore win and Piquet's dissmissal from the team is pretty close to a breach of contract.

Many good points brought up but lets see how it unfolds. They could give the team a huge fine like McLaren leaving the drivers completely out of this mess.

Not in this case. Ironically, Alonso might not get any trouble, but if Piquet willingly arranged that crash, he's done.

Agreed. The irony of which is that Piquet was the one bringing it out of the closet.

And I can't imagine how they could leave the 2008 Singapore results unchanged: Alonso's victory would have to be taken away from him, which means everybody else moves up a notch making Rosberg the winner.

As I mentioned already it would also widen the WDC gap to Massa, which is another ironic twist as he went to Flabbio right after the race and complained about the orchestrated accident trying to change the result of the race. Motto: Be careful what you wish for, you might get it. :)

Many times I read about the contents of a drivers contract, never has it been confirmed by either driver or team. As far as I know, we have no way of telling what is and what is not in his contract.

I remember an Indycar race in the early nineties, the time both Michael and Mario drove for Newman Haas. On the radio some was heard saying: Michael needs a yellow. Next shot, Mario parked the car and sparked a full course yellow. Can't remember if Michael won that race.

As European did you ever read the "Michel Vaillant" comics? This is the kind of stuff his enemies would pull off.

I glance through them for the 'famous names'. I did saw the film. Horrible! Even below Driven, and that is saying, well, a lot!

I actually liked it. More than Driven and definitely a lot more than "Grand Prix" or "Le Mans". I know that might be heresy, but it was optically a lot better and even had a plot, which can't be said about those classics.

    OMG! Hadn't thought of that...

Still, I think IF the accusations are true, he'd be liable as well. And frankly, if everyone involved is guilty, Piquet appears to be guiltiest of all: Crashing an F1 car on request? That's pretty low. If it's true that he or his people brought the accusations forward, it's a colossal mis-step. He'll be lucky to be driving a limo much less a race car of any kind after this.

Regardless, Rosberg is a fantastic driver that, with the right equipment, will win his share of GPs outright.

Maybe I´m wrong, but I think that FIA rules state that the results from previous years can´t be changed, even if new evidence is found.

Of course, they could kick Flavio´s a*s this year, but they can´t deprive them from that win.
