...And now for our commercial break Hey Goth!!! It's NERO NERO and no hands! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I noticed you were polite enough to not mention how it might have been damaged... :| Someone might have, um, accidently disassembled the sensor plug at the computer end and it might have lost it's ground connection, or something like that...
That looks great Chris .............. though 'hands free' stimulation is still something I have to warm up to ............. It may have been ......... ....... ....... the dyno probe is coming along .... I am working on it ........... and am completely happy with the results thus far .......... my new heat shield and hi-flow air box tops should catapult this system to the next level HP wise .................. So far the hardest part is getting 360/CS manifolds .............. I have seen a used set on ebay for less than $2k ....... OR ....... one of the following options: 1. A brand new or used set of fabspeed 360 manifolds. 2. Brand new CS manifolds from Ricambi 3. I can 'convert' the existing 355 manifolds (stock or fabspeed) to the single 360 larger collector 4. or I may look into using the standard 355 manifolds 'as is' and just block off the lower exit ...... then continue the single upper exit with 'by-pass' free cats and muffler ......... I am up for suggestions and remarks ........ .
I heard it was because of noise regulations in several countries. Thus we have a quiet exhaust when we are not using the power, and a louder one when getting on it. I know I'm not like most everyone else, but I happen to like a quiet car--tonality is different than volume--I want the tone but not the volume. The standard F355 exhaust is such I wear ear plugs at the race track. So, Is there any way to take this current system and make the muffler bigger so that it is more like 0% louder than stock system durring cruise?
+1 .............. there are still a couple more things that can be done to bring the db levels down, without compromising flow ................. that said, I too like pulling up to a nice restaurant ...... and not be 'totally' obnoxious .......... ........ though ...... currently ....... in the never ending quest for even more HP ....... Version II is in the works ......... it will have familiar 'former' components ...... and coupled with my Alloy Hi-Flow Air Tops ......... should take results to another level ............
Bringing this back from the dead because I want to try something like this. According to this thread the CS (which I assume is Challenge Stradale) headers will fit, but other years and models will not? I am considering using the Agency Power headers that say: Note: Will fit Ferrari 360 and Ferrari 360 Challenge. USA Cars require the pictured scavenger rails while the non-USA cars do not http://www.agency-power.com/catalog/agency-power-headers-ferrari-p-82014.html?osCsid=16vbgt45cq1ccn4q13599ednh6 I have talked to them on the phone about what I am thinking of doing and they will sell me a first set to play with at dealer price through my business, but I would need to purchase a minimum of 2 on the next order. If this works out, this could be a cheaper route than anything else I have seen to alleviate the header issues. So, will these fit the 355?
Will the primary tubes clear everything in the 355? I have not worked on mine yet to know what kind of room is in there. I am trying to finish the interior and then get it on the lift (which I still need to install). Would these need any mods to the header itself? I need to know if it should be ordered Jet Hot coated, or get it bare and then send it off once done modding it. I was thinking order it bare and then I could make heat shields that attach to the exhaust with fasteners. Then have it all coated when done. Do you think the larger diameter of the primaries would be a big concern? I assume I would want to order it with the air tubes installed?
