So a few days ago the top was cut on the 355 while parked in a parking garage. I am looking for options on repairing or replacing the top. First of all, is this a DIY type of job? I've had the engine out myself before so I can't imagine it's harder than that. I haven't checked with Ricambi yet on new pricing but I see this guy on ebay selling tops for $569. Hartz German Canvas with a 1 year warranty. Anybody familiar with this guy or have any other leads?

Why won't insurance cover it? I would have it done at a dealer and pay the deductible.

Honestly, anything from Ferrari is going to be way too expensive. So, cut out the middlemen and go right to the source!

Sorry, didn't subscribe to my own thread. (Shouldn't that be automatic???)

What would be the advantage of the top from Gahh? It's almost 3 times the amount of money. The add is also suspiciously familiar to the add on ebay... are they somehow connected?

Get the surveillance video in the garage if they have it, most do.

I hate to hear things like this. Actually it really upsets me.
Find the individual(s) that did it.

Then go get the top repaired :)

I bought a touneau cover from him for my previous mondial and was very satisfied with fit, quality, shipping etc.

Man, that sucks!! Sorry to hear. I would follow Chris' advice and look at the cameras.

I had the top replaced on my car (due to a wear hole) and we used the genuine item. I had it done by the local Ferrari dealer, so no idea how hard the job is.

I would assume the difference is quality... but that is an assumption. Everything I've seen from GAHH is really, really nice.

Did it look exactly like OEM? The picture on the add shows the window looking a little different but my guess is the picture is not the actual top for the 355.
