They are only about a hundred bucks each. How much are you trying to save?

Add shipping, customs duty and a credit card currency surcharge...and you're at $100.

I found a box of ten for-sale on ebay for less than $175 US. Add the above charges, it came to around $200 for ten.

The part number of the Marelli unit is NOT unique to Ferraris. You're looking for SEN-8Ds, which will need the retaining-ring holes drilled-out alittle bit to fit the Ferrari. NO big deal. The important measurements are the wire length, the OEM electrical connector that mates with the Ferrari wire loom, and the length/diameter of the magnetic sensor tip to reach the flywheel teeth. The SEN-8Ds are exact-replacement fitting for the SEN-8F that comes out of your Ferrari. They are cheap if you know where to look, and there is no reason to use JAP parts.

BTW, if anyone pays more than $50 for a SEN-8D, you're getting ripped-off. Period.

Where can you find them cheap in the US for under $50?

I can find SEN-8D but I can't find SEN-8Ds with the "S" on the end. Is there a difference.

LOL....oh my, that's classic. SEN-8Ds is PLURAL for the SINGULAR SEN-8D unit. No, there is no difference.....LOL.

BTW - if you type the words 'Marelli Sensor' into ebay's search engine, you find stuff like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/RS-Cosworth-Crank-Sensor-YB-Genuine-Magneti-Marelli_W0QQitemZ160360649535QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item25563d533f&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177

.....and there you go. If you were to purchase the Ted Rutlands/Lyle Tanner/Ricambi/FerrParts sensor for over $100, and order the sensor from the UK, you'll find that the UK-bought sensors are also SEN-8D units, but in the original OEM Magneti Marelli packaging. Its the same damned sensor.....

You think we look pretty good together
You think my shoes are made of leather

But I'm a substitute for another guy
I look pretty tall but my heels are high
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young, but I'm just back-dated, yeah

    Substitute your lies for fact
I can see right through your plastic mac
I look all white, but my dad was black
My fine looking suit is really made out of sack

I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth
The north side of my town faced east, and the east was facing south
And now you dare to look me in the eye
Those crocodile tears are what you cry
    It's a genuine problem, you won't try
To work it out at all you just pass it by, pass it by

    Substitute me for him
    Substitute my coke for gin
    Substitute you for my mum
At least I'll get my washing done

    I like The Who !!! :)

Did anybody buy and install these? I just looked at the sensors in my Mondial and the cables on mine appear to be slightly longer than the ones on the picture. Though it is hard to tell, as they are looped under the clutch slave.

The connector seems to be the same.

If they fit and work, I'll buy them now for "if/when" mine break.

OF COURSE I DID! We have several cars in the NE area running on these, as I sold several to friends who needed them (most cars need three). BTW, I made the mistake of ordering one online from one of the 'popular' Ferrari parts suppliers first....guess what I received for my $112....a SEN-8D that was 'repackaged' in non-OEM wrapping. I still had to drill-out the mounting holes, as the "correct OEM Replacement Sensor" that was advertised on the website was the same damned unit I could have bought on ebay all-day-long for less than $35. I would have felt better if I had been robbed at gunpoint. Its your money.
