Well....I have read numerous posts about people and their ways of washing/drying their exotics. Yes, some might think I'm crazy, but I have always used the California Jelly squeegee thingy with a chamois. I thought that using a blower/air compressor/etc. was a tedious and senseless process.

Well....after washing La Bella today I was looking at my Shop-Vac and noticed it could also be used as a blower. Hmmmm....

I cannot believe how amazing it works!!!! Wow! It works so effectively that you almost don't even need a shammy! Just a little Quick Detailer and microfiber cloth. The time it takes is comparable to using my previous method listed above.

Less chance of scratching the paint is nice, too.

I recommend this to anyone. And, if you don't believe me, try it one time.

    :)

I use a leaf-blower, a Tora from Home Depot to be exact, and it works fantastic.

I will never use a chamois again.

Stay away from the Californai water blades!!!! Cannot tell you how many fines scratches I have on my daily ride because of that thing! Garbage!

I'm using a synthetic chamois and finishing with a good old terry cloth towel.

Well, this probably won't work for most people. The reason being we in Oregon have very soft water that leaves almost no watermarks after drying. In California I could never do that, the car would look terrible. You have to carefully hand dry the car because of the hardness of the water and all the minerals in it.

+1, good question. I've heard wd-40 but I can't bring myself to spray that stuff all over the engine bay...

I have been using Perfect Tire Gloss (no joke) from Zaino Brother for the past few years. Here is the link:

    http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Z-16&Category_Code=Zaino&Product_Count=19

Here is the result (see pic attached) You have to apply it evenly and it might take a couple coats, but once it is dried, man it looks better than new. However, you will need to reapply after washing your car 'cause water will smear it.

You can use it all over the engine bay including the metal covers over suspension, and you can also apply it to the door sills

I haven't actually washed the 355 with soap and water once this year. California car duster after drives, sometimes spray on detailer for any spots that won't dust off.
