I would have really liked to see that version of the D50 and the 801 in 24th scale. I will be asking MFH to consider doing them. Since they already did the research maybe they will.

Ed, I just got a letter from Kyoko, saying that they will definitely make both D50 and 801, probably released next month. I also asked her about the "usual when" - 250TdF, 250MM and 330LM/B, and she told me that they still on the cards, most likely early next year.

In 1/24th scale...I hope you are right because I would love to have them in the same scale as my sportscars. That D50 looks very fine as does the 801. We have been waiting for the the others for ever its seems like!!

That is very good news Alex!!!
This past year has seemed to be a small revitalization in new releases for 24th. P24 has been pretty steady, Fisher returned and is hopefully going to release more P2's, MFH has been the leader of course in new releases and I'm getting my new P3 Berlinetta ready as we speak. I hope the trend continues to grow.

Come on Tom! Think about jumping back in. I miss your kits. You have such a vast knowledge of the cars and your kits were very accurate and engineered properly. It would be good to see you bring some more life back to the hobby.

I agree with Ed, Tom. I have several of your kits, and even though I haven't built them yet, they are superb.

Thanks for the comments. I will do some more kits soon. I liked being able to build other companies kits for a change. My kits are most like Profil 24 as they are all hand made without the aid of a computer(other than decals, photoetch and now the wheels), so they are not perfect.

By the way, I need one of those Ferrari P3 coupe kits from you Ed!!! Put me on the list please.

Tamiya roars back into the F1 spotlight with this great release of the current 2009 season Ferrari F60 Formula One car! The kit will feature photo-etched metal detail parts, and will be on sale in December.

    Just saw that on F1m.com

I also see the Hasegawa Ferrari 312 T 1975 and Fujimi F187/88 coming soon in 1/20th.
They seem to really be cranking out the plastic kits in Japan lately. This is the most race car resin and plastic kits in one year ever. Now all we need is the rumored Fujimi 512S in 1/24th scale, as long as it has a motor(Fisher did a great curbside already!) What is a Dino DX??? Fujimi has that listed in 1/24th scale also.

Tom, Dino DX will be a Fujimi Dino 206S with either some "optional parts" or photoetch. DX on a Fujimi kit usually means Deluxe, but since there were none of the "optional parts" on that car, I bet its p/e fret.

There are some parts on the 206S that would be nice in p/e.

Thanks. Then nothing new in sportcars in plastic. I too do not like the new F1 cars, although the 2009 Ferrari does have a better shaped body. Its the front and rear wings that make it ugly. Fisher will be doing some sportscars for us soon!!!!

That looks very nice, although it won't be a big seller for Tameo after maybe the first release.

    I like it!!

For those of you that think Model Factory Hiro kits are perfect:

Ferrari 250P. From the back and top it should be curved, not straight like on the kit. The engine close panel line on the side is also way to high like on a 330P.
I think Hiro must have used #0812 after it finished burning to copy for their model :)

Yeah, it is still way better than old Monogram kit though. :)

Very true, although Monogram did get this part closer, and the Monogram was a slotcar not a superkit. There is no excuse for this other than Hiro is rushing kits out to fast and missing details.

By the way, I finally have the Hobby Design Dino 246 detail sets. They are very well done and include 3 sheets+ machined exaust.

    Their website is www.hobbydesign.com.cn
