Jim, looks like an awesome event. Is that even # 9437 in the background of the second pic?

    Thanks for posting these pictures.

In a prior article announcing the event it mentioned that there was going to be a panel discussion that included Lou. What sort of discussions were there on the NART as an organization? Was there mention of a Chinetti/NART book in the works? Have heard very specifically that Lou has retained a writer (at least the third one now) to do a book. Also hear/read that Dick Fritz is working on one separately.

Is that the REAL #21 M. Gregory/J. Rindt car from Lemans 1965?

(probably, I assume, for sure it is, I just didn't know it still existed...)

Rindt was just about my favorite (somewhat forgotten) hero driver of all time.

Incredible gathering! Is Mr. Bob Bailey still around the museum? I had the chance to get to know him a few years back and enjoyed his automotive stories very much!

Interesting in seeing the p4/5 and 8c in contrast to some of the more weathered metal.

    The 275GTB/4 spyder? Yellow?

Maybe the dreaded Old-Timers disease - but I could swear I remember that car being painted burgundy red on the cover of R & T; and they stated that it was the one Denise McCluggage drove at Sebring. Maybe they had it resprayed after the race?

But, then, I could also swear that I saw some English Lord telling the story of having bought an early open 330 P3 and actually driving it on the road in a 1960s era R & T.

And authorities tell me that there are none of these remaining...probably have it mixed up with something similar...

The "P3" was 412P 0854 being driven by previous owner Paul Vestey in the 90ies.

This NART Spyder was Burgundy at one point.

Last time I saw the 250 LM was maybe 10 years ago at the Petersen Museum. The car is not as it raced at Le Mans but as it last raced which was some years later. The car has been seriously beat on over the years.

Did anyone attend the panel discussion? In pre-event announcements it said that Lou Chinetti, Dick Fritz, Sam Posey, Tony A-Z and some others were supposed to participate.
