Just counterbalancing the Massa bashing. Even when the guy is out of the car some still seem to have the need to blame him for a poor Ferrari season ("it's him who held Kimi back because Ferrari favoured him!"). Calling him a #2 driver while he was in contention for the title for two years against drivers who most consider to be the best (Kimi, Alonso, Lewis) is getting a bit lame.

Maybe Kimi is in the wrong era of F1. The cars are getting closer and closer performance wise and overtaking seems to be almost impossible which makes it very hard to stand out.

It seems to me they have dedicated engineers for each driver, exactly to make the little changes that are necessary to tailor the cars to the different stiles and or needs of the drivers.
I cannot imagine that Ferrari was intentionally neglecting to adapt the car to Kimi.
I would be more inclined to believe that Kimi is not a good communicator and therefore there is a lack of action.
Schumi on the other hand was said to be the king for this development and part of his and Ferrari's success was due to Schumi's ability to communicate very effectively with the team of engineers of the Reparto Corse.

    Kimi was misquoted.
Due to the mumble factor it was not initially clear that he was in fact referring to a new suit that he had tailored in Milan not his race car.
    Glad we cleared that up.

I take a different view of what some call pretense. Without the fans that fork over large amounts of $$ to see these young men race many of the drivers would be washing cars or taking luggage in and out of airplane cargo holds, or similar jobs, instead of being paid to travel around the world and make millions. Most of them seem to have the good sense to be polite and professional with the fans and media that make it all possible. I don't consider being a self-absorbed jerk as being an individualist, just a jerk. Not to say that I put Kimi in this class, because I have always been a fan.
