Hello All, After many years of waiting I have finally bought a Testarossa. I bought it from forum member CMT, real name Tony. Tony has been a delight to deal with through the transaction. I am in Atlanta, Tony and the car is in Arizona. I am thrilled with my purchase and very excited for the car to be delivered to me next week. I am sure I will have many questions in the future and look forward to many years of ownership. Now all I have to do is find a good local independant mechanic. -Mike
Very cool. Congrats and enjoy her in good health. I'm sure someone here will know a great mechanic that is close to you. Now you know you have to post pics when you get it.
You are not able to gloat any more on your FANTASTIC new car until you post highly revealing, voyeur-pleasing photos of your car! In absence of photos, we MIGHT accept dialogue about the history of this craft, results of your PPI, other sordid details, true or not. Enjoy!
Dear Ferraristi, Congrats ! You have bought the best 12 cyl Ferrari period. A big "FREEZE.....MIAMI VICE ! to you. BTW, my home state is GA. I have a couple of homes on Lake Oconee...one in Reynolds and the other in Sebastian Cove. ....small world, getting smaller. ...as others have said.....lets hear all the "sordid" details. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice !
Hey guys thanks for all the replys. About the car: 1988 1/2 Black on tan, 22k miles Brembo's front and rear Tubi with Hyper flow precats (race) and hyperflow cats Full service including clutch, new injectors, belts, hoses and gas tanks drained and flushed. Chrome 18 in HRE wheels Dash recovered. Over all the car looks to be in great shape. Andy Falbo has been taking car of the car for the past few years and did the inspection. Plus Andy drained engine oil, transmission fluid and coolant and sent them off to a lab to check for metals. Andy indicated this test tells more about the condition of the engine than a compression and leak down. All results came back great. The car will be delivered next week. I will take tons of pics and vids. Someone will have to walk me through posting the pics though. I must say I have been on this forum for a couple years now and almost bit the bullet a few times on TR's. I am glad I waited because this car with all thats done and the level of service it has had makes it a great find. I look forward to many a chats with you guys.
Michael, Congratulations! I'm just down the road from you in Roswell. I have an 86 single mirror and I just bought a 97 355 spider last week. I had them both in the driveway this weekend the 355 is beautiful but the TR still has my heart for sheer wow factor and maybe sound too. With that 12 hitting it's a real buzz saw, maybe more so than the 355. You made a great choice! Shoot me a PM sometime and we'll take the TR's for a spin. Wyatt
Congrats on buying a 12 cylinder Ferarri with the engine in the correct location. Enjoy the music and good luck!!!
Well.....I am going to miss this car! I have a HD full of pics....but it's Mike's car now...so I will let him post. TT
