All this talk about drivers and nothing about the car, not that there is much to go on that I am aware of. What I am aware of is that Kimi says there are no new parts for the car, yet at least one other team is working on their new car and still supplying new parts because, they say, the specs for next year, and therefore the car, are so similar. This would seem to indicate that Ferrari will be producing an entirely new car. Are they trying to out-Brawn Brawn?

If you want to talk about car parts, please start your own thread instead of hijacking this one.

Glad you asked that Julio, because I thought about it before I posted. My main reasons were that 1) this post appeared to be running out of steam; 2) my post was about next year's Ferrari entry, not car parts and thus closely related; and 3) there didn't seem to be enough about the new car to start yet another thread. However, two events today will no doubt create a number of related threads. Those being the late BWM team chosing Ferrari for its engine/tranny supplier, and the likely collapse of Renault as a F1 entry. Having said that, here's my take:
    Ferrari: Massa & Schumi
    New BMW/Ferrari: Fernando and Kimi
I am speculating that Ferrari's relationship to the new team will be more than just engine/tranny supplier and more like Mercedes ever stretching tenacles.

About the last 2 posts: Mercedes are laughing straight to the bank with this one I think, with 3 teams, 4 next year, using Mercedes engines. F1 is becoming an investment for them where they want to diversify with Brawn.

About drivers: It would be really bad if Ferrari said no to Massa because of his injury but at the same time its hard to say no to Kimi and how well he has performed in the past few races being on the podium (assuming they are not changing drivers).

This is interesting as I haven't seen anything like this on FChat, I read it on another forum.

"Sauber will probably retain Heidfeld and are rumoured to be getting Fisi for free with the Ferrari engines."

wonder if there's any truth in this?

MY IDEAL LINEUP:3 car rule in affect 1-Schumi 2-Felipe 3-Kimi. With the right car in place a second Ferrari dynasty is looming. This decade was one.

What's up with people bringing up this 3rd car/driver thing? There's not gonna be no 3rd car/driver for any team.

Alonso may be damaged or tainted goods, depending on the final result of the Crashgate fiasco !!!! Would love to see Alonso in red, but NOW , I don't see it happening. Remember, this is the second F1 scandal he has been involved in, as a team member !!! Remember McLaren ?? !!

That would certainly be better for Fisi than being a Ferrari test driver. I hope it's true.
