    Toyota---->Sayonara

    Massa may or may not be healthy enough to race. Ferrari are waiting for a late-fall evaluation and don't want to pair Alonso with Kimi. Alonso may not wish to wait for Ferrari and instead sign with Brawn. Rubens isn't the team darling and has had talks with Frank Williams, with Rosberg moving to McLaren to fill Kovalainen's vacated seat. Despite Flavio's resignation, Renault may have to answer to some prominent sponsors over this deal and might not emerge unscathed. Toyota is expected to announce a withdrawal.

    If Renault leaves, at least it gives BMW/Qadbak the spot. Remember, there had already been talk of Renault leaving earlier in the year.

    This was my prediction for F in the other thread. All the best to Massa and his return.

    Perhaps, the only thing is realistic is Renault leaving.

    Not bad. I'd still like to see Kimi and Hamilton together, then i couldn't give a Sh*t where Alonso goes.

    P.S. On your head be it Ferrari.

    My guess for F1 in 2010 is that nobody will give a .... frankly scarlett ...

    Even if Ari manages to beat the election rigging, it'll take a while to rebuild over the smoking wreckage Max will leave behind.

    The problem, F1 is a world where people are afraid to speak out for fear of retribution it may bring, whilst dictating scum Mosley is there.

    Rubens--->Williams + Kubica..maybe
    HK--LH McLaren
    Rosberg---->Brawn + Button

    My comments:
    - I thought Rosberg was a given at Brawn.
    - Button has been offered a "ridiculous" salary for 2010 (ridiculous were his words), which indicates they're eager to drop him.
    - Loosing the Merc engines, McLaren will become uninteresting, so I expect a nobody to pick the seat next to Hamilton
    - Ferrari wants to get rid of Kimi and is committed to Massa (I know, I know, they got it all backwards) so I'm holding on to Alonso + support driver (aka Massa)
    - Missing in this puzzle is Kubica. Another great name whom you don't hear much about and I seriously doubt will stay at Sauber-Ferrari.

    McLaren-Cosworth unless Renault stays.

    Been away for awhile but;
    I thought Rosberg was going to Mclaren. Now we get to see his stuff.

    Brawn is too smart and tight to pay a stupid salary. There are great drivers out there looking for a job or willing to sacrifice cubic bucks for a WDC shot the Brawn brings (or brought as in last year).
    The drivers are of course important but the car is more-so.
    IMO most drivers are within a tenth or two sec of each other when motivated, which over a season is more important.

    Driver salaries don't always come out of the team budget.

    Trying to kill a good thread with facts Steve? ;)

    I don't see a problem with Button, he is hardly a Alonso type.

    Nope. Contract ends in 2010.

    Not yet: 2010 they still have Merc engines. So they have one more good year left. Which is all the more reason for Kimi to go back to his former team.

    By no means.
    I just don't see them working as well together as the current line-up.
    Brawn has a strong team ethos and I'd hate to see it's spirit compromised.

    For a driver who has been around for a while Nico has yet to "take the next step" if you catch my drift. Away from Williams he'll have his chance.

    I read that
    Aabar paid out $2.7bn for a 9.1% shareholding in Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz. The suggestion is that Aabar will hold the Brawn stake until it can be passed on to Mercedes-Benz in 2012 after the German car manufacturer’s exclusive deal with McLaren comes to an end.

    So?

    That still doesn't cover the huge riff between McLaren and Mercedes.
