Why on earth is this taking so long?!!! Dont they know at the FIA in Paris some of us have work to do. More importantly we need to debate this on Ferrarichat and that takes time from work and family as well!!! Yield the verdict!!! They could have implemented WORLD PEACE by now
Ari Vatanen, the former World Rally Champion, who is disputing next months FIA presidential election, says that the Renault-Singapore scandal is just the tip of the iceberg and symptomatic of a wider problem in the sport. Vatanen was talking to Britains Sunday Telegraph. What the public see is a corrupt sport, he said. They do not trust it and who can blame them? I should make a thread on this very subject but lets get the Renault thing out of the way. GO ARI!!!
I know! I keep refreshing my Twitter to see if anything has happened yet. Piquet Jnr has left and made no comment to reporters. I guess they're having lunch now so it might be a few hours before anything is announced.
According to this site: http://www.f1sa.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17380&Itemid=219 the took just 90 minutes. A decision is expected today in the next 4-5 hours.
It's all pretty much as expected really. A suspended ban for the team and a severe punishment for Flav. No fines though which is a bit of a surprise. It sticks in the throat that Piquet gets no punishment when as far as I'm concerned he's the most guilty of the lot.
not a thing - it was known what the outcome would be prior to all this waste of time and money! Carol
Piquet Jr. receives immunity from individual actions. But I wonder what the sentiment will be towards him around the paddock? Any remaining stock he had is now worthless in my book.
I've only glanced at the releases but isn't Renault's ban suspended? Alonso is cleared so its business as usual there, no?
That part was not in the early report I read. A delayed ban that won't be enforced if they don't reoffend? No fine?
Correct. Flav has a life-time ban from FIA events which means that Webber, Heikki, and Romain need new management.
"Scot Free" as it were.......F1 has taken a nose dive into the dumpster. No mention about Charlie Whiting/FIA knowing about the incident last year and STILL NO word about the September 15th meeting. Carol
