I checked it out, but had to pass ..... starting to look around for 348 to add to my loved 308!

Why'd you pass on it? Was there a maintenance issue you weren't entirely happy with?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

No worries...do your recall what area it was in? Ontario (Toronto)?

I think it was a matter on timing actually for me.,

The seller just got back from vacation and was not able to fax me any receipts to check out before the auction's end.

I was not sure if importing the car back into the US would be a subject to extra taxes or issues.

Its one of those: "Saw it too late and did not have enough time to consult with anyone here about it things". I'm hardly an expert on 348's.

The only issue that were stated was that the e-brake needed replacing and there was something going on with AC. Not 100% exactly sure.

But, I guess overall at the price point it looked nice, right?

Well, I'm no expert either, but had I been in a position to buy I might have felt a little devil-may-care and put in a bid. Admittedly, that sort of thinking might get me into a world of strife one day...

Anyway, better luck next time! ;)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

You really need to see the invoices for the service history, especially the recent major service he stated in his ad. You should also get a PPI to determine what the "few minor mechanical repairs requiring attention" are going to cost, which he also stated in his ad. Seems to me he is being honest about the condition of the car by giving his rating on the paint, tires, condition of the seats etc. Wondering why he painted it in the spring of 2008 though, was the paint in that bad of condition?
