What's the right asking price for my car? TDF Blue over Natural (Cuoio), 17K miles, all services, modular wheels, shields, red calipers, 250gt shelf and headliner. Gorgeous car, perfect shape, all services current. Reluctant sale, but you know the story. Thanks.

Sigh. If I wasn't already spoken for....I'm sure it would be love at first sight. I would have been on a plane a year ago. Since you asked, I'll weigh in at $85K.

    sounds beautiful.

Doesn't have the back seat package does it? ;)

unfortunately we have entered the slow selling season. If you must sell this fall, it may take $75K to move it.

    Sorry. Good luck.

You could make a little extra money by selling me your modular wheels and swapping them with my stock 550 ones on my 98 car. :)

As far as your car is concerned, I agree with the previous posts.
Probably worth around $85k but you'd have to wait months for the right buyer to come along.
If you want to sell it quickly, then the $75k should do it.

    Good luck.

You might want to post a pic of your car here. (Just so I can stare at the wheels.)

Here is a pic of my 98 tdf blue car.

If I were in Ketel's shoes I be on the next flight.

    2000 550 with those options, that's a great car.

LOL. I agree. Ketel's been looking at various cars for a long time.
Isn't this the kind of car he is looking for?

Also, I like the blue carpeting with the tan seats (doesn't look as dark as "cuoio" typically is - looks like tan leather to me). A nice color combo.
Mine is tan carpeting with tan seats. A good look, but I think the darker carpeting is easier to live with.

    And factory fender shields too!

unfortunately the 550 market is dead slow, both in the USA & Europe. Although in the past 2 months here in europe 6 have sold (about twice as many as normal).

You have a beautiful 550 though. Good luck with the sale!

    My advice is "don't"....

I absolutely loved my 2001 Tdf/Natural 550. Sounds very similar--shields, red calipers, etc.
I moved mine last year at a weak moment--too many cars for my garage space and a F430 being built at the factory.

But often, I wish I still had it for special days--manual tranny, big block 12cyl, traditional GT feel and also for the way everyone looked at its classic lines.

I've seen a bunch of 550/575's over the years--and, TdF is perfect for this car.

Then again, my wife says I just "shorted it"--sold at $116k in June 08--and if I liked the car that much, just "cover it" now :) .

That of course, is the sad part about most Ferrari 12 cyl GT's...in 8 years, a $250k sticker ($350 adjusted for inflation) becomes $75-80k worth of tradition. :(

I know it is a fact of life but as a lover of these cars it still makes me a bit sad.

Good thing I won't be selling. For a very long time.
