    When my throw-out bearing did this (sucking air) it needed replaced. Each time I would bleed it, it would work just fine until I released the clutch too fast--and it would suck air again.

    Sorry for your troubles--but the crusher is a little drastic; don't you think?

    Hey ernie, I've got my original throwout bearing that I replaced with a Hill Engineering part. All in the world that my original needs is the new blue seals; the metal is intact and strong on it (newer release).

    Nah, j/king. I like the goth-xhaust too. Not like mine at all with its tasteful twin tail pipe design (what kind of cholo puts on coffee cans?!). :)

    Relax, bro, get the clutch sorted out first. I would use a whole new set of injectors - Bruce's - then let's get that beetchin' pipe set up in place. Man you are going to love these pipes! I didn't ask, why did you delete the thermal coupling bung and where are you putting the sensor?

    No cat ecu = no thermocouple = not thermocouple bung. Capiche?

    I took those damn cat ecu's completely out of my car years ago. The thermocouples currently in the factory cats are just to keep the hole plugged. But now that I have cats without the bungs I can 86 the thermocouples.

    Not after the years of BS this car has thrown at me.

    I just keep hoping that it will FINALLY run right. It's almost like Lucy telling Charley Brown that this time she won't pull the football away, and then does it anyway.

    Things get real ugly if you loose fluid at the master and no fluid on the ground. Then you gotta crack the gearbox and look for the fluid. I have seen and fixed that problem. let me know before you take it to the crusher. With your car I really think you need to give it some TLC. When you fix what breaks you disturb other marginal stuff along the way and then the next thing in line dies. You need to do a good major on that car plus start at one end and just go through it so that all parts are in a similar condition. Right now you got good parts connected to old crap and then you get failures. Think of your repairs as repairing "systems" not single items and more of your car will stay together. So for example when you put the gothmuff on make sure to give a good hard look at the headers and the support of the exhaust system so that undue pressure is not placed on the headers so you don't change something then develop a header crack. When the exhaust is out look well at the inboard CV joint boots that get all the exhaust heat.

    That's what I'm afraid of. Because once I tear into it I don't know if I wanna know what I have to fix. Then you run into all the "while I'm in there's" and the money just keeps piling up.

    But sooner or later I'm gonna have to face the music.

    It's time for an update, almost a full year later, but an update none the less

    I finally got around to taking care of my clutch problem, which turned out to be a busted pressure plate diaphragm. You can read the play-by-play in this thread http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296274

    After I finished fixing the clutch I went ahead and installed my Gothspeed exhaust.

    Next you will disconnect the coupling for the cat and the header. Put a 13mm socket and ratchet on the nut, and hold the bolt still with a 13mm box wrench. It's a bit tight in there so it'll take you a little bit to remove the nut and bolt. Not much wiggle room so don't get frustrated.

    Once you have those removed take the cat out.

    I'm so glad I asked Oz to make it a single tip. I think it looks fantastic. Simple, clean, and not too big, just the right size. I also asked Ozzy to only have the tips sticking out the rear about an 1",1/2", and to have the can tucked up under the bumper. I don't like seeing the muffler sticking out the bottom of bumper. The only thing I wanted to see was the business ends sticking out, and Ozzy obliged me.

    It sounds 10x better than the stock exhaust.

    At start up the sound is aggressive yet mellow. Not loud, but a bit deeper, and more pronounce tone. It has a nice burble to it, as it just sits and idles.

    Took it out for a quick spin and as you are rolling into the throttle there is a nice gurgling sound at low, crusing through the neighborhood, rmp's. Then at around town driving speeds nice and quiet. Purse like a kitten sitting on your lap.

    Stomp on throttle and as the rpm's climb, this thing starts to let the surround area know there is something on the road. The sound is very tight, and Ozzy tuned it beautifully. Once you get in the 6000+ rpm range then it opens up and SCREAMS to redline. The very first time I heard it, it stunned me, so much so that I lifted because I didn't know what it was. I hadn't ever heard that pitch come out of my car before. Then I said "WOW", and stood on it. The sound this thing makes.....oh the sound...... in the upper rpm's is simply fantastic, very F1 like, and absolutely glorious.

    I am EXTREMELY happy with my exhaust setup, and very glad Oz took the time to make it for me.

    Thanks a bunch Oz!!! You really did a kick ass job on it.

    Ernie - I didn't think I'd like the single tips but it actually looks great. Get some video (audio) of that bad boy!

    BTW, is that big azz antenna for your bag-phone?

    Ernie I'll bet the gothspeed exhaust works better if your car was actually running. ;) I do like the single tips better than I thought I would. At first I thought you were being a typical cholo, but now they ain't half bad brother. Can't wait to hear your car running wild soon. We doin' an engine out soon?

    Yes it's true, my car is back on the road.

    But as i said, if it ain't one thing...........

    It has a slight miss. You can hear it when the car is idling. It could be old injectors, or spark plug wires, or cranks sensors, or who knows??? But it's "runnin" for now. Anyway that's another problem, for another thread. Right now I'm happy it's back on the road making music with Ozzy's system. :D
