    Japanese GP Grid: 1 Vettel; 2 Trulli; 3 Hamilton; 4 Heidfeld; 5 Raikkonen; 6 Barrichello; 7 Rosberg; 8 Sutil; 9 Kubica; 10 Button

Timo Glock has now been officially ruled out for the Japanese Grand Prix by Toyota. No stand in chance for Kamui Koboyashi either

Button needs to score five more points than Barrichello to clinch the title in Japan and prevent the battle being taken to the next race in Brazil.

The penalties handed out after qualifying are always applied in the order in which they were committed. The fact that Barrichello committed his offence of ignoring yellow flags before Button and Sutil means that he has lucked in to effectively losing just one place on the grid.

Going over the possibilities, it seems the penalties, and other shifts were applied in the order:
(WEB), BAR, ALO, BUE, BUT, SUT, LIU, KOV, (GLO)

It is hilarious to me that Alonso went to the stewards and was raising hell about the Brawns not lifting for the yellow and how they should have been penalized, only to have it come out that he also didn't lift.

Surely he knew that he did not lift.

So it must be true that either:

-He felt he was going to get penalized and wanted to make sure the others did too

-He didn't know if they would catch him but wanted to make sure the others were caught

If it was the former, why wouldn't he just wait and see if he got a penalty first?

ergo, I lean towards the latter. And based on that, what a little turd the man is.
