First Ferrari

I would like to introduce my recent acquisition, a 2000 F1. What a great car! I have been looking forward to every opportunity to drive it when I can. Car has what you see in the pictures, came with Tubi and 18" Challenge wheels. Already met a few fchat members in the Dublin get together last Sat. This is a great website for researching and understanding more about Ferrari ownership and the expectations an owner or potential owner should have. Also thanks to Brain + Brian @ Brian Crall on some history of this vehicle.

During the search process, would have preferred a manual, but those are more difficult to come by. After driving the F1, liked it a lot so decided I could have it either way. Interestingly this acquisition did not get any objections from wife (unlike my Porsche, which was a 6spd). After she got a chance to be behind the wheels, she began to love it and felt it was the most exciting sensation she's had. I am glad she hasn't taken it out for grocery shopping while I am at work. I have not taught her how to put the F1 in reverse so that might be a reason.

On the wheels, thinking of removing the BBS logo as I am not a big fan of those red stickers. I know all challenge cars have them.

Heading for Carmel and Laguna Seca this weekend for the Monterey Championships while the weather is still nice.

Thanks. The car does feel high to me visually. What recommendations do you have on the setup to lower the car? I was under the impression that most people do not change anything on an f-car (with the exception of exhaust and wheels, or anything OEM) as that seems to have a negative impact on resale value. Thanks.
