Honestly, I don't know what they smoke in Maranello, but it must be something fantastic.

One of those little annoying things on a F355 that can break is the alternator tensioner bracket's adjustment screw. (Shown as #11 here: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/parts_catalogs.php?V=diag&I=1394) List price from Ferrari (and it'll continue to break!) is now $250.78. Yup... $250!

In case you didn't know, Hill Engineering has a wildly stronger version of this screw, for less than half the price. We try to keep a few in stock, and thought it'd be good to let folks know what they look like. Available here: Ferrari part 148630 at Ricambi America

p.s. I also like playing with the camera's different settings and my lightbox :)

It's not the metal that costs the money its the printing of the prancing horse on the packet/box the bolt comes in is where the costs are involved.

It's hand made by a blind artesian in a little cave somewhere in Tuscany. It's an art.

Yes. It costs $399 per jar.

Same as normal Vaseline, except it stings a bit more when you apply it.

    Exactly.

Don't think of it as purchase price for a part,
think of it as a donation to the team.

    The lube helps too.

Let them get it from selling new cars. Jeez! I want to freshen my synchros and I crapped my pants when I found out that four will cost ~$2400. Pass the Ferrari lube!

    I think there's a discount for 348 owners who attend LdM's 458 unveilings.
