I got mine from Eurospares in London http://www.eurospares.co.uk/ Good service, good quality, prices are what they are... Cheers Stefan
Are you sure it's a 400GT badge? Last time I enquired about one they could only supply '400 injection' ones - there simply weren't any GT ones, anywhere. Regards, Ray.
You are correct. Eurospares just now replied to my request indicating that the 400i badge is only available.
Is there such a thing as a 400GT badge? I think there might only be the 400 and the 400 automatic. Aidan
I must be thinking of what I saw on a manual cover. It would be nice to have that "400GT" badge. I have replied to eurospares and inquired of what he has. From his first response it seems there is a "400" or "400automatic" badge only, as Aidanparte has pointed out. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Aidan, Nice shots, however mine is a 5 speed carb version. This is the badge I am looking for. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Correction...I think you're referring to the 365 GT4 2+2, about 2/3rds of the 400GT production were fitted w/automatics.
The 400GT didnt come with a badge. It has a prancing horse in same position as the previous photo only. Hope this helps. Is your car a manual? if so it is very rare indeed 147 total production 21 uk imports dont know how many are in the states but so far theres only 3 that I know of worldwide mine in Scotland, one in Australia, another uk car. Regards Alastair
Models 365GT4 2+2 carbueretted all manual gearbox 525 built 3 tail lights 400 GT carbueretted manual 147 built 2 tail lights 400 carbueretted automatic 355 built " 400GTi fuel injected manual 422 built 2 tail ights and badge 400i fuel injected automatic 883 built " Note 400GTi doesnt say that on the badge at the back it only says 400i just to confuse us though ferrari reffered to it as the 400GTi helping us to confuse it with the earlier 400GT for simplicity I suggest we all refer to the 400GTi as the 400i and the auto as the 400i automatic! Great fun I really must be bored coming out with all this. If you want I could come up with the absolute definitive model descriptions and specs. only when I am bored though. Regards All Alastair
Rare indeed. I know of 6 in the States and 1 in Switzerland. I don't seem to have the one in Oz, Larry's in Canada or the other one in the UK.
Thanks for the confirmation that there is no badge on the 400 GT. It just seems bare without it. Yes mine is a 5 speed manual. Larry
Can you tell us a little bit about your car: serial number, colors, mileage, your history? Apologies if you have already posted this in this forum, I must have missed it. Thanks,
1978 400 GT 5 speed serial# 22579 speedo reads 30,400 in kilometers only red on black purchased from a gentleman in California however I don't think it was ever registered there, as it has no smog equipment & no cats. no history, no tools, has the spare & retaining bolt though the paint appears to be original, however I have to get a professional opinion on this no rust anywhere on this car !! Some patina & a few stone chips the interior is very well preserved on this car. I am very happy with its condition Gran Turismo is currently rebuilding the engine I only have a few photos at this time will try to post some more shots of this incredible rare Ferrari soon Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
