If you go to the Showroom section and look at the Maranello gate thread you will see more pictures by this photographer. He was holding out on us and didn't include the second picture of the 458 driving away. Nice find! Out on the road the styling seems even better than in a sterile display. CH
My god....that car brings back the sexiness that Ferrari had when it introduced the 355. If I were in the market for a newer FCar, the 458 would be worth the wait over getting an F430! They bringin' sexy back!
More pictures! He didnt put the gas on it so we cant hear the sound Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
what's everyone's opinion of the rocker panel, or sport sill cover as Ferrari calls it? do you prefer body painted color or the optional matte gray/silver color?
I think the red sill gives it a more "chunky" 430 look. The grey emphasizes the cars curves as it drops into shadow making it look like the cars body is actually curving up there. The curves are what makes the 458 sexy - so I would go grey.
Okay, back to the thread: HAS production started? That's the protective material they use when test-driving fresh product. Perhaps these are the very first pre-production models? For press drives? Demo cars for dealerships? Or, perhaps, the very first deliveries?
First cars will be at (European) dealers late this year, that means next month of December. So I guess the cars we are looking at now are those cars that will show up at the dealer's showrooms.
FWIW, during a factory tour a couple weeks ago, the guide said 458 production would begin in early October.
Those are my fav pics so far..... I was luke warn on the 458 but these real life pics look pretty nice.
still not totally loving some of the elements of the nose, but .... overall car is growing on me the more I see these pics
Looks like Grigio Ferro Met and the diffusor is covered If it's got CF under the tape this rear bumper could very well be mine!!! Cheers, M
