    my windows stoped working. I opened the part in attachment picture and some of the crazy wiring had come loose. There are so many small cables it is pointless to try to repair/find out where they supposed to be. Does anyone know part name/number for this part (the one with mybe 100 multicoloures cables coming from it?

    Assuming that your car is a 1993 Spider (USA) per your profile, this would be Tav 143, item #8, part #154767, "LH Door connection cable, valid for Spider, not for GD, valid till car #98662". You might want to confirm.

    Yours IS repairable.

    I have about 5 wires that have become loose. the problem is how do I know where to solder them back, that is, if its possible under such a confusion of cables to put that back in place. Any suggestions welcome. thanks

    The colors should match on the opposite side of the connector, inside the front wheel well. You have to remove the inner fender liner and peel back the boot around the wires to identify them. I understand that pins can be replaced if you source them, I just hardwired the whole thing - no more pins.

    I have heard that it is better to hard wire these wires anyway. I heard that they are a source for trouble and is the reason why windows and mirrors don't work so well. If you do a search on this forum, you will see that hard wiring this loom made things work better. I am about to do that because my mirrors don't fully work and i don't think it is the switch.

    you say hardwire, sorry my english is not good, does this mean solder directly one cable to another insted of using the black male/female connector?

    correct. hardwire means connect them directly together without the use of a connector.
