In case anyone is interested, this is the '95 spider I looked at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-348-Spider-95-ONLY-20-396-MILES-RECENT-SERVICE-MAINTENANCE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4149a18a3aQQitemZ280408197690QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks Strong running, good driving car...I've pretty much decided I don't want a spider, though. I'm curious to see what the experts here think of this one anyway. That last major was a whopper!
Wow....I wonder what they really want for this beauty. It seems like a very good deal if a PPI checks out. We'll see...
You mentioned in a prior thread that you thought the car was leaking fluid. Did you ever find out what it was?
Blampee -- I don't want to put words in their mouths, but they have indicated to me that they are unable to go below $52,000. Kdf398 -- Unfortunately no, I haven't been back to see the car since my cousin and I discovered the spot under the diff. I figured I would just have it checked very well in a PPI if I decided to grab the car. That's not 100% out of the question, but I have some other cars I'm looking at right now. Maybe I'll have a PPI done anyway; if I do, you'll all be the first to see the results!
I was surprised when I saw the opening price. I have a feeling it may have to come down a bit before it will sell. We'll see...
Looks very sharp, but wondering if that leak was fixed - which by the way still surprises me since the major was less than 1-year on it IIRC
I bought my 348 in May after the major was done in February of this year by a very reputable mechanic that people always talk about on here. Some coolant hose clamps were not tightened during the process so I had to track down the problem and tighten them. So my experience is that the major could have been done last week, but if something was left loose, it won't matter.
