Once I had a feeling that the 458 was a quantum leap over the 430 based cars I decided to move quickly. It is so hard to sell used cars in HK once they are out of fashion. Learned lessons in the past. Yes like the rest of HK I am in line for a 458. Orders now to 2014 - all with deposits. Crazy. The 458 has replaced IMSS's bankers!!!!
Heard about that. On the positive side, in most other places they would be in jail with crushed cars at the rate of knots they were travelling at
I just don't get the worries about finger prints. They are cleaned in half an hour - no big deal. We are so lucky in this part of the world that we do not face random vandalism. It is safe to park on the street. How can we dare to worry about finger prints????

Looks like the same 599 I saw for sale on 28car.com today, grey with tan hide. Very nice! http://www.28car.com/sell_dsp.php?h_vw=y&h_id=346108
Agreed, one of the best looking cars ever penned IMO. Off topic: I heard recently that there are plans to turn the building down at Deep Water Bay into a classic car museum. Sounds rather interesting. Does anyone here know anything about that or is perhaps involved in the proposal in any way? I'm sure a car museum in HK could display some remarkable machinery for such a relatively small place.
I think its a dark blue 599 actually, same car as this one http://www.carcity.com.hk/product/detail.aspx?pid=143
Its in Repulse Bay - you know where the 7-11 is? The building is the one next to the public roof-less parking lot.
Some recent stuff. I don't think I have posted any of these before. The Google car driving around near my house was a surprise! Anyway, here goes... I eagerly await the Google Street View for HK. I was in my 575 driving out of Taikoo Place and was the next car behind it for two streets. That was two months ago, so have no idea when Streetview will be available on Google Maps, but expect me to be showing when it does!! PAUL
Oh?! Ha! Is that you in the 512TR? If so, sorry about leaving the number plate exposed I just thought it had to stay.
It is ok. that plate# looks good on the 512tr. Nice to meet you yesterday. Next time, I will wave my hand if I see you again.
Yes, even if it was a fleeting meeting to say the least! btw, the 512 looked stunning - such a rare treat to see one on the roads.
Now that is seriously cool and a group that i want to join next time out. I am increasingly into air-cooled!!!
Hello Sega355, small world! I photographed your GT40 and the Cobra the other day in Tung Chung (see page 54), and I was telling you about the other member I know (RWP) who introduced me here . Nice to see you again, hope the photos do your car justice
