All very nice Porkers in that group! I especially love the blue 964 and the utterly awesome wheels on the rare turbo bodied cabrio. What's the story on the hardcore looking yellow one? If it's the same one I have seen around a bit it has an 'RS' badge on the back without the 'Carrera' is it an authentic RS? Whatever it looks and sounds great!

EDIT: Just noticed the white 993 Turbo

the yellow one is a 3.6 turbo. the owner wisely removed the 'RS'. the TL cab and the wheels are for sale due to owner relocation. = )

Can you believe this from the Ferrari Store?

The Ferrari Surfboard Scuderia Spider. Great for those early morning spins down to Shek O and Big Wave Bay!

"Surf board 7'2'' customized with a Ferrari 16 M Scuderia Spider graphic design.
Customized bag with shoulder strap and carbon fibre covered fins are included. It is an all-round board, also for beginners.
It is made of poliurethan, with glass fibre and resin.
The verticle line along the board is the wooden stringer (the backbone of the surfboard), which characterizes a handshaped surfboard and is synonymous with quality and precision.
Limited edition of 499 pieces, like the GT car.
    1250 Euro incl VAT"

I saw it also in Carpro on Monday, the owner also owns few other cars currently in their shop including the S500 in same colour on the back of the picture in the garage, cool that he also owns the R8 V10. Saw him picked up the S500 grey today while I was waiting to pick up my car, his S500 got a really nice roaring sound!

If you were in the shop, you might have also seen my 550 in the shop somewhere being serviced.

Is it red? If so I saw it next to the SLK55. Did you change the exhausts? If so I also saw it being given the full beans past my office on a block up from Carpro on Wednesday! What a sound. I have a photo but I just changed phones, will dig it out over next couple of days.

Yeah! Its red and if its loud then its my 550. I installed the Capristo "for motorsport only" sound 2 exhaust half year ago. The car was in Carpro this week for minor adjustments, and most important of all, installing the X-pipe. The car is now even louder & sweeter as of today, definitely better sound than when you heard on Wednesday.

Downside, my wife doesn't really want drive with me in this car no more.......

Yes and has been for a while. My seats are in UK being redone so I am using one borrowed 993 Carrera seat for the time being. Aside from that car is finished and is running like a demon. The chip in the car works great with the exhaust and air intake. I also ported and polished the Varioram etc.

Come by for a look Jon. At my garage

Whoah! Great pics. I especially love the contrast of car and surround in the last one. Question, how come there are few cars (your 575 and the Enzo) with silver mesh in the air-intakes? Or is that just a phenomena of the photos?

Having read some of DM18 past adventures here on fchat, he mentioned had a stronger grill installed to catch the bigger road rocks encountered in China.

Hainan is a nice place, it's also the only place where people have assumed I'm Russian :)

Thanks for the photos.. looks like an interesting trip!

How long does it take to drive there, and what's it like to drive it?

Everyone puts mesh on the grill as the rocks are not small. Mesh was painted black but paint wears off pretty quickly at a few kph over 120. My mesh (double layer) was heavily damaged but everything underneath in perfect shape.

I got a cracked windshield this trip but aside from that car came back in great shape. Will remove 3M next week and then will know for sure how much if any wear and tear

HGTC definitely useful on a trip like that.

We drove Haikou to HK in one very long day including ferry. Road is really terrible for first 150kms after ferry. I was following Enzo and very impressed with its' suspension

How many Ferraris were at the drive and is your 575 a F1? Any more pics?
