Surely I can squeeze a paint job out of $1.5MM if all I'm buying are an Enzo and an Exige. If not, then I'll scratch the Exige off of the list.
I'd buy all the 308 GTBs I could and do them up to Newman's standards, and become "THE 308GTB GUY" ..........................or a 288GTO
Here's mine, a mix of new and old. Ferrari 360 CS Ferrari 430 Scuderia Porsche GT3 RS (2010) Porsche RS America Mustang GT Track Pack (2011) Mustang FR500CJ Lexus LS460 AWD
Lambo - LP640 - $225k Ferrari 599 - $300k or Scud/16M Porsche 997 TT Coupe/Cab Tip - $125k 69 Camaro w/ new technology - $100K 57 Chevy Convertible - $100k Benz S65 - $100k Benz SL63 - $125k Bentley Brooklands - $300k Range Rover - $80k GMC Denali Truck - $45k Total - $1.5k I think that would pretty well rounded and something for all occasions!
tax free munis. 30 yr muni will still get you 5%. not great but on 10M you're looking at some nice play money without touching the principle. I'd start off with an orange lp640 (stick) add a yellow 430 spyder (stick) bmw m5 to drive daily (f1) silver sl63 to drive daily range rover for bad weather like someone else said all cars would be bought used
Unfortunately in Singapore .. $1.5m (S$2.1m) doesn't go far .. so for me Ferrari 458 Italia (S$1m) Maserati QP (S$400k) Nissan GTR (S$250k) Porsche C4S Cabrio (S$450) - wifes Damn I wish I lived somewhere with cheap cars!
1. Old School Classic - Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona in yellow - ~$300,000 2. Modern Classic/Driveable supercar - Ferrari 288 GTO - ~$500,000 3. Trackday rat - Caterham R500 ~$50,000 4. Modern Sportscar - Ferrari Challenge Stradale ~$140,000 5. Old school racecar - Replica 250 SWB ~$400,000 Costs about $1.4 MM With a larger budget I would substitute the Replica SWB for the real one and add the McLaren F1 road car. That should be it.
On reflection, I'd keep the cars that I have and buy a Stallion 2 citation. They used to be 3.2M, but you can get them now for about 1.5 - 1.7M. Art
