Exactly, DC is capable of judging the difference bewteen 60 and 160 mph. It would be very difficult to demonstrate an F1 car at anything less than 150+ anyway.
No offence intended but this really seems quintessentially Indian. India took the officiousness and bureaucratic mindset of the British and has carried it to the point of absurdity. I rem a supplier that had an elaborate system whereby I was presented with a delivery note to sign, then an invoice to sign, then a receipt to sign, all to pay cash for $20 in goods. And of course all the forms were in duplicate, a copy for them and a copy for me, so six A4 sheets of paper, and the printing cost of the forms, to do a minor transaction. Not to mention the utter waste of my time signing all of them. Oh, and the envelope printed with their company logo that the accountant always insisted on putting my copies into!
I just saw where the demo was: It was pretty darn dangerous to be flying at 160 without any safety barriers to protect the fans. I figured maybe there was a little space between car and humans but, nope. Given recent accidents at motoring demos, I respect the sensitivity. So the Indian government bashing is a touch unnecessary, IMHO. I think they're being reasonable, at least in taking the 20k pound speeding bond. As for Coulthard, well, zebras can't change their stripes, can they?
