Ran across this video on YouTube. Is it the 458 Italia? Sounds like it and judging by the 9,000rpm redline, it probably is, but the instrument panel looks like that of a 599. I remember the 458 instrument panel looking different...

Instrument panel looks like that of a 599 but he is shifting to 7th gear?? 599 GTO or 600 GTB could have 7 gears but this sounds like a V8. I'm puzzled.

Sounds and looks more likely to be a 360.
As you hear some vids on youtube right now the pitch is higher.

... And another piece of evidence to support the test mule theory - look at the steering rack top surface - you can see the slot where the chassis plate goes, but there isn't one present. It's a mule.

I would agree on the mule part. Plus, the numbers on the dash seemingly don't correspond to what gear the driver actually is in - as in he starts in first and shifts to sixth. I doubt that the car would accelerate that fast in second - and even if it could accelerate like that in second he wouldn't need to shift from second into third just after 60 mph.

    My vote is a mule.

    I vote test mule aswell.

Dash is totally different from '458 on track' in pod cast section on FC

Also does look to be a left hand drive (see window reflection on rev counter) with a speedo in MPH and not KPH??? Do they just grab the next instrument panel to come off the line!

LOL, I was saying the same thing. Fuel light is blinking off and on and they are hitting red line in every gear. I love it.
