tune in tonight at 8 pm EST on CNBC.
it was a great show to watch. as a footnote I personally met Enzo's personal secretary for 30+ years. I met her twice and both times at an intimate BBQ so I really had a chance to speak to her and ask many questions about Enzo and the drivers of their racing team. her name is Brenda Verner. what a lady! the second time we met she baked a "special" cake that she ONLY baked for Enzo. it was delicious. of course we asked her for the recipe but she would not give it to us. she baked the cake in privacy at the home we very visiting and would not hint as to the ingredients. I remember that she made the icing with crushed hazelnuts. it was a great experience just to meet her. at the risk of sounding corny, it was like speaking to a piece of history.
It was interesting. I didn't realize that Enzo led a double life. He was kind of a cad, but he made history.
I too was surprised to hear of his double life. Does anyone know if Pierro is still alive? That might be a dumb question but I'm not sure so I'm just asking.
Back in June during our trip to the factory, Pierro walked through the Cavallino Restaurant where we were having lunch; he smiled and nodded at us as he walked past on his way to his private lunch room. ...he's very much alive.
paulie thanks for telling us again that this was on. I always look forward to it! this time I will finally try and dvr it. thanks!
Yes, as everyone said, he is alive. He autographed a copy of a Cavallino program for me in 2007. I would sell it for $2 billion.
