One of the many things I have acepted about our comrades on F-Chat is that by-and-large they are not at all interested the oldest sport in America, the Sport of Kings. Which I find interesting because the participants in that sport are super-successful people, and the beauty and majesty of those thoroughbreds in action in full flight has to be seen on the ground to be appreciated! I guess the prancing horse is appreciated, but the galloping horse isn't.

I will be there watching someone make $5 million dollars in a little over 2 minutes...

I am proud to say that my son learned how to read from the Daily Racing Form... but the sport is in a death spiral.

The California Indian Casinos have put the last nail in the coffin when they hood-winked the voters into banning slot machines from race tracks. The only salvation for the sport in California is to allow the Indian Casinos to run the tracks.
