Went to the Motorsports website usacomp.com (they represent Compomotive UK in the US) to find out the cost of a set of four 17" x 8" TS 3 piece wheels for my 82 308 GTSi. If one slides the mouse pointer over that wheel, a little window showing $487.50 pops up. Called their 1-800 number several times, no response other than a recording. Called the UK and Compomotive cannot get in touch with their own Rep in the US either, but the lady said I can buy directly from the UK at GBP2,000 (delivered) a set of four....ouch!!!!
Compomotive is probably looking for another rep in the US rigth now.
    Nice wheels though....just FYI.
    Cheers.

    Hey Claudio,

Check out post # 12 (last in the thread) http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=260836. His are the Speedline Mistrals - smooth and swoopy - but maybe you're looking for a 288 GTO/F40 style (hard edged stars).

Best of luck in your search. May I add this thought: "Wait for it" It was four years before I found my wheels "of choice". Let yours come to you - and they will. Don't buy something that you "just settled for". Pretty much a general rule, don't ya think?

    Cheers, Hank

I looked at your profile picture - your car and your wheels - be looking nice :) Great example of the hard edge star (288 GTO 16"/F40 17") as opposed to the Speedline Mistral (Mondial Euro dealer offering, 17") with a softer edge.

Hey, it's all a matter of personal preference. In cases like this, it "all about you" :)

    Cheers, hank

Motorsport Specialties is no longer open. I had to order parts directly from the UK. We will see how it goes and how long it takes to get the parts here.

i dealt with USA-COMP and had a set of the 17 inch wheels made for my Lamborghini Jalpa. $2000 or so and it was well worth the wait. i hope you can get the wheels you are looking for.

I will keep looking, but at this point.....I don't see anything that I like more than a set of 17" Compomotive wheels. Staggered or not. They look fantastic to my eyes.
    Cheers.

I got my 17" compomotives from Nick at Forza a few years back (still listed on his websitwe). Then a friend of mine needed a set for his Koenig car and I was going to get a set for him from PolepositionUSA but he ended up going thru his local wheel guy here in Phoenix. I don't think they are that hard to get just talk to your local custom wheel guy, seems they all know how to get them :)

    Love these.

I've got 16" HRE 505's but would trade these for a set of 17" Compomotives.

Alan's the guy over at usacomp.com. They are still in business (I spoke with Alan on Friday), but they aren't selling any of the Compomotive split rims for the time being. According to Alan, it was impossible to make any money on sales of these items -- this is because of the economy, because of exchange rate fluctuations (against the GBP), and because of increased shipping costs (from the UK). The owner of usacomp will decide at the end of this week whether or nor they might start selling these items once again.

I've been interested in a set of these rims for a few months now. I think others on fchat might also be interested. If we can get together for a "bulk purchase" Alan will take our case to the owner of usacomp. Is anybody interested?
