Lake Havasu? Where is the top right picture taken? That looks like a great place to visit. Cool pictures! :)

I visited Lake Powell in Page, AZ - A must to see. The first pic was driving south back towards Phoenix and don't remember exactly where it was - off Rt. 89. I pulled over the side of the road to take. Antelope Canyon is the one shot and 2 lake shots.

Want to return and do the house boat with some friends-tag along the jet skis and tow a small power - that would be nice for 3-5 days floating amongst the rock and stars.

I decided to take a photography class since I didn't have enough to keep me busy so I've been shooting a little more and starting to learn a little editing too (very little so far!).

This weeks assignment was to shoot lines, vertical, horizontal, diagonal, and curved. Here are the shots I picked to use for my assignment. Let me know what you think!

And no I won't show the self portraits, especially the one we had to edit to make look Warhol like. :)

Some good photos, but you need to work on your 'Depth of Field'.

Very cool. How has the class changed your perspective on the subjects you are shooting? I keep telling myself I'm going to take a class but haven't done so yet.

Thanks. Actually I kind of got the effect I wanted in most of those shots but how would you have done it differently. Just asking to learn more as always.

Actually I really wanted a more technical class to learn more about the basics and this actually turned out to be a creative photg class. Not much in the technical aspects so far but there have been a few discussions.

The first few weeks were taken up with portrait and self portrait work which I've never put much effort into. Learned a lot and would actually like to do some more of that type of shooting so I'll see if I can scare up some volunteers.

Now we are onto lines, shapes etc. and getting more into total composition. I think no matter what it will increase my knowledge and skills not only with the camera but with my eye and perspective as well. It's fun!

You should do it, it just takes some time to get in all the shooting and posting stuff but it's relatively easy from a learning perspective!
