I did a search and didn't find much other than a hard wire install is the way to go... seems there is only 2 places to mount the device (355 Spider), under the drivers visor or to the right of the rear view mirror, is it better to use the Valentine remote display with a convertible as everything is exposed when the top is down?

Using the remote display won't help you much if the purpose is to keep the V1 out of sight. You will still have to mount the V1 in a location that doesn't have any obstructions, like your visor or high up on the windscreen to be able to "see" the radar.

I have given up on remotes where the V1 has to be mounted in a place where I can easily reach it to mute for a false reading!

If mounting the display in the mirror is something that interests you I'd like to chat, I have done this in a Porsche and would be game to try a Ferrari, the glass can either be etched so the display shows clearly through it or for the stealth approach the glass can be replaced with a special class that allows the display to show through it (so it is invisible when switched off).

I could do that... although I'm thinking that the display behind the glass is better these days for the ultimate stealth. Put a kill switch in and everything disappears.
