it's a no brainer, spider every time, though biased as i've had a black and tan one for seven years.

+1 Spider... Nothing like a sunny day with the top down, AND, they actually do have tops although most of us never use them, for the rest of the time. IMO there are convertible people where the fullly open cockpit is a main part of the experience. Also, for those of us that have had other ragtops in the past, the 348 Spider is wonderfully designed to reduce wind noise and buffeting with the top down (at least below 120mph) and the sound in an open cockpit at speed, priceless.

they agreed to change the belts all fluids and cambelt tensioners...do inspectionsion of other stuff while the engine is out.

    for a gr8 price i think.

They only made 1146 348 Spiders. Kinda hard to pick how many nero/nero cars made. :):)

I forget how many 348 Spiders are US cars. Some owners have posted numbers here before. I think around the 450 rings a bell. :):)

Most would be red/tan or red/black. Yellow/black is the other most common colour. :):)

Nero/nero is one of the more rare colour combo's. Hard to say, but if you want me to quote a number, I would say around 20 USA Spiders are nero/nero. :D:D

Mate, would have to be around that many USA cars in nero/nero. :):)

    Maybe more, maybe less. ;);)

I havent seen too many nero/nero 348 Spiders here on Fchat. Obviously there are many other owners that are not on this chat site that own nero/nero Spiders. :):)

But of 400 cars or so, there wouldnt be too many nero/nero. Nero/tan would be even rarer IMO. :):)

Of course I could be way off, but I reckon I would be close to the money! :D:D

Spider without a doubt. By the way. This rear photo of the black spider posted by PAP was the wrong wheels. These wheel are from an earlier car, not a spider. The offset is incorrect. Spider's rear track should look wider.

Or could I be wrong? Did the Euro spiders not have a wider track (wheels) as the US spiders?

Congrates on the purchase. I have 1995 348 Spider, have had it about 3 months and it is fabulous, I had a 308 QV before this and there is no comparison. Get the Royal Purple Gear Oil 75W-90 if it already doesn't have it. It makes going into 2nd when cold much easier. Check to see if the seat back rocks back and forth, if they do its and easy fix.
Put in a K & H Airfilter, makes engine breath that much better.
Find yourself a good mechanic and let him look it over and get yourself familiar with the car.
I had a alarm with remote door locks installed
Check the air vents and center dash for a sticky feeling, it is a known issue but there is a website www.stickynomore.com that can make them look better then new from Ferrari.
    GOOD LUCK

Good buy great price too, the only thing I would buy now is some real side scuderia shields, this makes the car especially on black.
