Now that Italian Car Day is behind us, another highly-anticipated annual event is coming up: the picnic and swap meet at T. Rutlands in Tucker. As listed on their website:

"You are invited to the annual T Rutlands Open House ! Saturday October 24th from 9 AM to 4 PM. We have historically had a great Ferrari and exotic turnout. Games and door prizes. Free vendors tables. Free lunch served around noon. This a rare opportunity to meet with many enthusiasts and Ferrari professionals at one large gathering. Lots of fun for the entire family."

Their address is 5242 Royal Woods Pkwy#150 in Tucker. (From I-85 take Jimmy Carter Blvd south; from US-78 take Mountain Industrial Blvd north. Turn at South Royal Atlanta Drive and look for signs just past the traffic circle.)

I hope Ted has indoor plans this time. The forecast is not very friendly, cold rain (again).

I received an invite, but a little far for me. Great service, though.

The weather forecast has been 180 degrees off the last two weekends so I'm still hoping for the best!
A couple of us are planning on heading down from the Suwanee area Sat AM.

We proved last weekend that Ferraris do not rust or fall apart in the rain, and they DO leave Maranello with windshield wipers. So if it rains a little, again, I'll still be there.

This was an outdoor event last year for the vendors, I know the cars will be fine if it rains, but the vendors don't have windshield wipers. ;)

Any pictures from last year? Were there any pre-70s Ferraris last year? I'd love to attend but it isn't likely. -kevin

I do remember a Lusso, unless that was the year before, but it was pretty.

Last year the event was held on the same day as Italian Car Day, which probably hurt attendance at both, though I managed to split time and spend a little time at Rutlands.

Here is the photo thread from last year: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=217537

Looks like a good forecast for tomorrow: cloudy but no chance of rain. (I know, that's what they said about last Saturday as well.) But I think that this time it will stay dry.

I wanted to thank Steve, Ciscero [hope I am close on the spelling], and all the other great folks at T. Rutlands that I didn't get a chance to meet, for putting on a great event. Very laid back, casual, and fun. Thank you all for your efforts.

I was glad to meet some more FChatters so that I can connect faces and names. Of course it is always nice to also hook up with folks from past events as well.

    Ciao,
    George

Thanks to Ted, Steve and all the other T. Rutlands folks for putting on another fun gathering. The clouds and the chill were just a minor annoyance, though I suppose that kept some other good cars at home. But there was a nice turnout anyway.

Here are some of the cars; I tried to photograph the Ferraris in roughly chronological order, inserting some of the later arrivals in the appropriate place. The rest will come later.

Here are the other Ferraris and the "non-Ferraris", along with a few other Italian cars that were in the spectator lot. The racing car was a Van Diemen Formula Ford 2000 (Formula Continental) that Brian Willis pulled out of a trailer, fired up, and drove thru the lot to his parking space! Then he let just about everyone try the cockpit on for size.

Stephane, good job winning first place awards in consecutive years with two different cars. Kinda makes up for your trivia game shortcomings.....:D
