Here is a TR that sold on a no reserve auction. I think the no reserve auctions are the only auctions finding a buyer. Since all things are worth only what someone is willing to pay, here is the auction item number:

    270470839279

    $35,100

How did it look cosmetics wise? Sounds like a great price..... Then there is about $20,000 worth of "what-ifs." Nonetheless I'm sure the buyer was happy

I am not so sure, a "0" Feedback seller. A private Auction. Virtually no descriptions. Poor pictures.

I doubt there is a car that has traded hands.

Perhaps if the buyer comes forth here, I will be shown to be wrong

To say it "sold" is speculation. Court case after court case have ruled on behalf
of a seller who didn't get his price - you can't FORCE someone to sell something - sure
you can SUE to make them sell, but everything I've ever read (10,000 ebay deals
under my belt - not cars, but same idea) those cases seldom if ever win.

I'd be really surprised if the car and cash actually changed hands. I'll bet the
seller emailed right away to say he just hit a guardrail or the timing belt broke
right before the close of bidding.

In my 1 such experience, the seller at the end of the auction (in my case a laptop I was
the high bidder on for VERY cheap) emailed right at the end of the auction and reported the
item 'got messed up from dropping it - you won't want it now! It no longer boots,
and the screen is now cracked'. End of deal.

But ya never know - some folks are getting desperate.

Lots of "SHADY" deals/dealings on eBay Autos. I was just recently interested in a Jaguar XKE Coupe, located(?) in Las Vegas.....Very low(IMO) purchase now price. I sent "4" emails to the seller, trying to arrange a viewing, did not get ANY RESPONSE!!!!. Sometimes/Always.....If it appears "Too Good", There's a reason.......Mark
