The Fiorano 355 really isnt a predecessor to the CS. Silly idea. Plus the CS has a worldwide following that reminds me of the F40's. Almost no one really knows what a 355 Fiorano is (care to know) as it is not that much different to drive than a 355 (im not knocking the 355 down, i love that car..) but there is no comparison between the differences from 355>355Fiorano to 360>CS.

As much as I hate to admit it, this jerk is right. I used to own a Stradale, which I drove more on the track than the street. I have also driven a F430 on the track at Mt. Tremblant.

Art is right. Get the F430. It is a much better base to start with.

Yes Art is right, he has F430 and I have a CS.

IMO, if you can have only 1 fcar, get the F430. Its the sports car that doubles as a GT car. The F430 has the missing torque the CS lacks. You can get it in the CS if you drive the car at 6k+ RPMs, but it gets a bit over the top driving on the street that way. The F430 gives you the best of both worlds.

The CS still puts the biggest smile on my face, but its not the best all around car.

If you're looking for a daily driver or a cruiser, yes, get the F430

If you're looking for a weekend toy, don't compromise, get the CS

+1, 360 CS had so many changes compared to a standard 360, you cannot compare the 355 Fiorano which was basically a 355 Spider with some Alcantra bits, a bit of suspension changes, etc.

G right on, not to mention that the CS IMHO is the best looking late model Ferrari out there.

CS will be my choice as well.... Aside from the performance and feel, it doesn't suffer in the looks department against the 430 as well. Anyways tonnes of 430s available for sales out there, not many CS. Grab you chance.

    Hey Ahmet,

First post on this wonderful site but I couldn't resist to jump in on this topic.

I think you must jump on this CS. Kaan and its PO took incredible care for this car and that color combo is simply stunning. With such low mileage and full leather interior it truly is a rarity in CSs.

As you know very well it is really hard to find an unabused car here in Turkey and especially among cars of this caliber and this one is mint ! Not to mention that gorgeous Blue shade rather than the usual red which other two CS in the Country has.
I understand you prefer your F-Cars in non-red colors which is a classy move and also in that sense that CS will suit you more and more. It is a very rare combo of a very rare car. Need I say more ? If you hold on to it for years to come, It will be a trueclassic.

Besides the sentimental value, lets not forget what an incredible performer it actually is. I was lucky enough to get a ride in one of those at the 'ring and it was day and night difference over the 360 AND 430. If this was my choice, it would be the CS, no question. I still remember Kaan revving it up inside the paddock in Istanbul Park and that sound was mesmerizing.

Another point is the amount of 430's around. Even little kids are driving around as posers in those cars in auto mode. where as CS is certainly an "enthusiast's" Ferrari and one that looks incredible with very subtle add-ons... Less is more ! Just my $0.02 !

Go with th CS , you will not regret it !

    Can,

    OK
Agree 100% I do not personally get it. The 430 is much more comfortable easier to maintain similar performance which equals better daily driver or frequently driven car. The CS is raw and sexy and better track car or less driven car which requires belt changes. I have owned several F cars and still have my CS which I also feel is the next best thing to the f40.

I had both cars... I loved both of them.... BUT

If I were to pick one today... it would be the F430... for all the reasons stated above

    @cig1:
I am not looking for a cruiser, its not going to be my only or daily car, if that was the case, you are right, i had to get 430.
However i'm looking for a "special" car not for traveling but for spirited/blow off steam driving, maybe once a week.
I did that mistake once, buying a porsche tt instead of a gt variant thinking that it will suit me more, got bored 6 mo. later, was not raw/hardcore enough imo..

@ Clubber81: Welcome to FChat, and thanks for the "insider" info. :)

I knew Kaan has driven that car as it meant to be driven and most of the 4k mileage are from track days. Guys at the service say that he was perfected the shifts and was driving very smoothly on the track, almost running circles around 430s.

Actually, come to think about it, my only concern is that he has "driven" the car. But i guess, if it has been regularly serviced and unless its trashed or crashed, 3k. mi of track driving isn't gonna trouble CS, as its what it was build for, am i wrong?

Don't know what and why i am still thinking, there is something, but i cant put my finger on it...

many miles on track eats tires, pads and maybe discs. Check them out.

If you had a Porsche TT and wanted a GT3 you will find the 430 to soft, especially on track.

As I said earlier I have quite abit of track time in 360, CS, 430, Scud and 996 GT3 to mention cars you are talking about.

360 and 430 feels ordinary compared to CS or Scud on track. As well as comparing a standard Porsche vs a GT3 or RS.

So if you do trackdays, don´t get the 430. You will find it to soft and heavy.

I assume the FQ-340 is an Evo right?

If you like the brazen edge of the Evo VIII or IX over the more-for-the-masses Evo X, then you will appreciate the CS as a weekend/special/track-day car over the F430.

I still prefer my CS over a Scud.

CS... Just saw one recently at Boardwalk Ferrari... side by side along an F430. There's just no comparison.

Now a Scuderia or 16M is another story....

I just wish CS would have more torque in the low rpm like the F430.

I can't believe you still on the fence after driven a CS. For most people, a simple test drive in the CS would have easily been sold over the 430.

Read two important posts to compare "Tribute to the Challenge Stradale" vs. "Tribute to the 430". If you get a CS, you will find for the rest of your life people flocking, even at Ferrari show and shine events, to look and appreciate your rare CS. It's nice to enjoy the special attention the CS draws, to engage in the enthusiast conversatons. Much less so for the much more frequent 430. And don't worry about the torque; just work the high revs, and make the light weight even lighter with an Odessey 925 battery (half the weight of OEM) and hyperflow cats (half the weight of OEM cats). And then just drive and enjoy perhaps the most intoxicating sound of any ferrari on the road or track.

0-62, I think the 430 is .5 seconds faster than the Stradale. Sadly I am sellimg my Nero Stradale but I remember the minute I heard that engine on a youtube video I had to have one. It was like heroin for my ears and I quickly became addicted. Within days I had it in my garage and enjoyed 15000 miles in it over 3 summers in the Land of the Midnight Sun. I have to keep it 1500 miles away from me or it will have no chance of being sold due to the highly addictive exhaust note. Once in a lifetime feeling the first startup of that car. Looks good too. Remember you might only live once!

Put the sticky Pirellis on a 430 instead of Bridestones and that .5 second disappears and then some.

I am not into the "seconds" guys, i'm more into the "feel good" factor ;)

Hopefully i'll decide this weekend and close the deal next week.
My final decision is either CS or keep 360 and wait 1 year for Scuderia.
I'll post here what happens next.
Oh, well, maybe i get too excited and open up a new thread if i buy that CS :)

Thanks to all who chimed in..
