    Hi there,

I am an independant dealer and would like to know if anybody out there knows how to reset the CCM brake warning light with the SD3 after the new pads have been fitted??

    thank you.

Sorry, can't help you but replying in order to subscribe and view the results on this!

I haven't had to change pads on my car yet but would intend to always do such maintenance myself and would have thought (just as any other car I've ever owned) that pad wear warnings would immediately be eliminated once a new set had been installed.

Is it possible the sensor wire is shorting to earth somewhere? Generally that's how they work (by shorting to the brake disc) once worn down so could that be your problem?

Best of luck anyway and I look forward to the resolution!

    hi guys,

thanks for your replies but maybe I have failed to explain properly. I am a recently independant dealer from the Ferrari network.

when the brake pad is worn to a certain level, the wear sensor activates the warning on the dash (looks like a circle with a broken line on either side) in red.

when you replace the pads, the wear sensor for the pads has to be reset using the SD3 tester and requires a rolling code to be entered into the SD3, along with the tester serial number.

does anybody know or have a contact that can help me get the codes whenever necessary without requesting it from the Factory?

    thank you.

Hmm from what you have described it sounds like a rather sneaky means to get owners to always return to main dealerships rather than take on DIY replacement.

Sorry, I wouldn't have a clue about the required reset code.

    Good luck.
