not an fcar but my nsx. I have been for 5 years now. I do not recommend it. I think just like anything else, you will start taking it for granted. I would try to garage my car for as many days as I could so that I would miss driving my car. Driving a fcar or nsx, as low as they are is tends to become more of a hassle than a pleasure. Parking, weather, keeping it clean, avoiding speeding, pot holes, etc...I prefer a beater car I can park anywhere and drive everywhere in. Throw the dogs in, run errands etc...

My 1995 F355 Spider is my daily driver. I have driven 18,000 miles in 24 months. Car only had 10,500 miles when I purchased it in 2007. Runs better now than when I bought it. Previous owner didn't drive it much.

Not to high jack the thread but I didn't think 360 wheels would fit on a 355? I thought the offset was off but these look just fine.

I would love to daily drive mine but I simply cannot (3 young kids who crave my attention).

The positive side of that is that it does feel good whenever I do get a chance to take it out because I miss it.

I use to drive my car regularly ... 4-5 times a week ... but then the milage started to creep up ... 40-50 now I am at 56ish, so I have back down to 2-3 times a week. The problem is that these cars engines love to be driven, but the rest of the car suffers. My spider's interior leather has suffered and the door panels leather has srunk enough to pull away from the switches. The paint has suffered from rocks and other flying debrie. My chrome rims are suffering from the dreak dust and the rag top suffers from the sun/rain ... all typical wear ... but with a Ferrari, you must keep it appearance to notch ... so plan on investing in keeping the cars appearence up.

Of course these cars cost more to repair/keep up, my last tune up cost me over 7k, and I know that I'll need a cltch and brakes soon ... another 3-4k, but I knew that this car would cost money when I bought it.

HOWEVER ... I would do it all again, the feeling you get driving a ferrari is second to none ... like the visa commerical ... "priceless".

Not as high as the 100K you are asking. But mine is now about 97,000 miles.

I did have to go with a lower profile tire. The stock 360 tire is a 40, I went to a 35 so it wouldn't rub when the suspension bottoms out.

Over eight- nine years now, i cant remember exactly. The problems i have had was a snapped Gearbox input shaft early into my ownership. Which involved removing the gearbox for a rebuild. But that was before the car was in the 40kish mile mark IIRC.
Then the alternator also went about 5 years back, which cause me a huge problem to remove. So much so that i had to replace the oil pan which the alternator was mounted to. The bottom bolt had seized into the casting.
Then the R/H manifold went and was replaced, the thrust bearing carrier went and was replaced. I also had the cockpit recovered in 2003. Other than that just the usual things like clutches. The car is one of the best and reliable cars that i have owned.
These days i share the road time with my SL55, but yes the 355 is used 3-4 days a week.
I have put most the miles on the 355 myself.

Not daily driven but used regularly, keeps everything working as it should.
