    Guys,
Had my F-car about 2 months,Really enjoying. The 2 pistons that hold up the back deck worked for the first month...now after and hours trip, they don't hold. Forgot to test them when cold, but assuming they don't hold when cold either...what do you think?
Thanks in advance for your comments

They only last 3 or 4 years on the engine lid, they you replace them. Heat seems to be the enemy there. The front hood lasts twice as long. You can use the ones for a Ford Focus and they last a bit longer....and only cost about $10 to $12 each, versus whatever ungodly amount Ferrari gets for essentially the same thing. They are all made by Sachs/Stabilus regardless....More info here:

BTW, if they don't hold hot, they will definitely not hold when cold. I have to raise mine when cold, but they it stays up. When warm, when I release it, it rises on it's own. When the struts are new, the lid will rise on it's own, hot or cold. :)
