Will do. However, bad news earlier today from the dealer. November 6th is a no-no for the delivery. Waiting for F to come up with new suggestions. I don't like this, I wake up with it and go to sleep with it. I want my car and I want it NOW. I guess I'll have to get over it and wait for the new date to be announced. What else can I do?
Did your dealer give you any reason for the no-go? I am also waiting for mine and my dealer said that F gave 18 November as the delivery date, however the dealer is trying hard to change it to 11 November... //Hape
The problem with factory deliveries is that F won't commit to a date until the car completed all its finals testing. Until they are sure that the car is OK they won't commit to any date. Add to that that the showroom wasn't available on November 6th and you end up with a no. Now, this can all change very quickly. If the car completes its testing today or tomorrow it may very well be that we can go pick it up on the 5th. Chances are it can be later as well. Sometimes small issues arise during testing which need to be addressed and this can cause some delay. My dealer told me they usually give themselves a two week cushion to be on the safe side. Bottom line is that all needs to be correct (car, paperwork, payment, ...) before delivery can take place. The items I can control from my side are taken are off. We just have to wait now for the other pieces of the puzzle to fall into place. I hope your Valencia delivery will work out.
You should hunger-strike in front of the factory gates. Maybe they'll understand that you weren't joking when saying that you want your 599
- Rear diffuser: central part in carbon fibre. Side parts painted in Grigio Ferro Met. - Outer door handles in carbon fibre. - Fuel door: carbon fibre with chromed horse im very interested in seeing these 3 options, my dealer has the carbon fuel doors, been thinking about it for a while, but i wonder if it would be too ricey on my 599.
Woah that 599's interior looks splendid! I've always thought CF wing mirrors would look very cool too, just like the ones on the Scud.
Guys (and girls) ... the waiting came to an end. She is here and she is everything (and more) of what I expected it to be. Factory delivery was cancelled as my agenda was too busy and wouldn't have been able to enjoy it the way you should enjoy this. Hence, car was shipped to my dealer. Went over to check her out yesterday and what can I say ... I'm so happy, excited, thrilled. She came out just the way I pictured it: sporty, aggressive from certain angles, little race atmosphere in the cabin yet GT qualities are there. Took some quick pics I wanted to share with you all. Better pictures to come later (I promise). Pick-up scheduled for Wednesday as some items still need to be completed (centre wheel caps need to be painted in Grigio Corsa and Exhaust Valve switch to be installed). I love your door handles and centre console! I've always thought the default aluminium console looked incredibly out of place and should have been in CF instead, you've got excellent sense of style my friend! Edit: AWW YEAH!!! Are those CF wing mirrors? Those look FANTASTIC too!
Congrats! I'd been wondering what your color/material combo would've looked like when you first posted and now that I see it, I really like the blend of different materials and appointments. It seems to really match the personality of a GT car like this.

I very much like the CF diffusor and partially painted lower end spoiler. The effect looks great when standing right behind the car. 3 more nights of sleep before the big day comes ... PS: my dealer and his people have been awesome. They provided me with state-of-the-art service and updates. Despite the fact that we had to cancel the factory delivery they will make the delivery of my car at the dealership a great event. They are simply great. Thanks. Your 599 looks SENSATIONAL. It's one of the best specs I have ever seen. Sporty & classy. I'm sure you'll love her. ...but...OMG...all that carbon fiber...mmm.. *drools* I also think you will enjoy the exhaust valve switch Well done, now enjoy her in health and safety!
