Thank you for the compliments, I have about 850 pictures to go through but I'm trying to get some free time away from work and homework to work on them.

Hey, what can I say, an "automatic" comes in handy at times ;)

Seriously though, the paddles would have been nice through the "twisties"

Many thanks to all those who put so much effort into putting it together!!

    Casey,
I did not realize you were attending. Had I known I would have introduced myself.
    Hope you enjoyed it.

After the bonds formed this year I have a feeling there will be a lot more dinners and meets throughout the winter.

Frank I saw some sweet pics of your car out floating around
when I find the site again I will send them over.
Mikety should have some nice ones of you and the PJC girls also.

    Just kind of curious..

I was told at the rally that the car HC brought was a super rare car and had some interesting history. Anyone familiar with it? Also heard a number floating around of 7 mill at the value. Is that true? Im really not up on vintage ferraris at all.

Great car!! Kudos to HC for bringing it out for all to enjoy AND running it in the road rally.

Thanks for the quick reply and link.

I saw the cute blond driving your Ferrari after the rally.

Very cool of you to offer her the wheel. :)

You're welcome. The 275 is one of my all time favorite fcars. I first saw this car at F40 at the spring 2008 open house. Still enjoy looking at it.

Cute blond - There is no denying that she's cute. She drove really well. I'm certain that she was more than a little nervous first time driving an fcar and 15-20 people taking photos of her every move. She did GREAT. She said she never really understood why anyone would spend so much money for a car but after a few quick corners she was smiling ear to ear. Now she knows why. And it was my pleasure to share the fcar passion.

The tread is wrong. People think my lowly 328 is a replica so this shouldn't be surprizing. When I first came across the car at a Ferrari shop I questioned its correctness as well. Turns out, it's as it left the factory. The original owner was an America in the entertainment industry and a personal friend of Enzo. He wanted a 275 competion car and Enzo built him one. He wasn't a racer and the car spent its life in his personal collection. When it was sold by his estate it only had about 2K miles. A regular steel 275GTB in this condition is worth $1M. An alloy body car (note the seam at the top of the A pillar) is worth about $2million. This car is a competition special of which 17 were made. These cars replaced the 250 GTOs. There were 39 GTOs and they sell in the $6m to $7m range so this car should be similar. Do you really think he would own a pretender?

This is the story I heard at the rally.

Id have to say Id be surprised as well to hear that HC would have re-body off a wreaked chassis.

Anyone know who had the silver m5 on the rally? I believe he was a lead car for a rally group.... I was a end car so he was behind me leading the next group I believe...just curious if he is on this board?

I posted this information on the other thread and have been told I'm wrong. There are many people with more knowledge than me. Normally I wouldn't express an opinion on such a matter. But I am familar with the car and have personally spoken with people involved with it. It was never represented to me that it was rebuilt from a wreck. But obviously other persons know better. I'm sorry if I've passed on any information that wasn't accurate.
