Any Ferrari owners down here in Alabama?

I just moved here to Huntsville and have yet to see any - have been to a couple of autocrosses and some car shows as well.

Welcome to Alabama. We have a group of gearheads in Birmingham that get together pretty much every Saturday for lunch. We have a large cross-section of exotics and muscle cars, including several Fcars. If you are ever down our way please join us. I can provide location and directions.

Welcome to FC. Sorry, I'm in Birmingham, but in Huntsville you need to meet Mike Charness, passed President of the Ferrari club of the Southeast. He is a great source of information and a member of this board. I'm sure he will chime in soon enough.

My wife and I drove the 365 and the 308 yesterday, if the weather is nice and I'm caught up with work, they get driven...

I'm in Montgomery, have a couple cars. Another friend here has, I think, 4 Fcars, plus another 20 or so fun rides. We're nearer Lake Martin area. I know the Viper club is very active in your region, and they're a fun bunch, organizing lots of rides/tours/events and I imagine would love to have you join in, Viper or not.

Birmingham (where Branko and Dr. Tommy Cosgrove hails) has other sports car fun stuff going on, and I'd also check the Barber Motorsports events schedule where we try to get together on occasion. Drew Altemarra is in Tuscaloosa (Boxer and Daytona) and tries to make those events too. Great folks, just not many of 'em! Alabama Fcar owners represent quality over quantity.

I live in Auburn and have an 88 1/2 TR. Also have a few Ducatis. Would be great to go on a drive sometime.

Huntsville does have a handful of Fcars, and Mike is the contact point for what's going on in the Ferrari world.

Check out www.fca-se.org for Ferrari specific events, and check out www.huntsvillecarscene.com for all the rest. :)

Gentlemen, it's time for another sneak run!

As you know, Alabama's Highway 25 is world-renowned as the *best* motorcycle grand slalom road in History.

Conveniently, this amazing highway passes near a fantastic lunch spot, and a quick detour from it takes us past the massive Red Diamond corporate headquarters.

Oh, and that also puts us at a local skidpad that allows Ferraris, even convertibles, and has rental cars on-site to play in if you don't want to track your F-Car.

So, for those of you up for a good lunch, a great road, as well as sneaking in some quick track time here in Alabama, chime in and I'll set a date for all of the above and more.

Hey Chris, I've not met you yet, but look forward to it. Congratulations!

Hit me with an email or a post about Alabama's coolest highway drive. I'm at [email protected] or PM here or whatever.

    Sounds like fun.

I believe the Polar Bear run scheduled for this weekend will take you right by there. You can also stop and have lunch at 29 Dreams Motorcycle resort.
