F40 is just a early cars n coffee, so you could do both....

I wanted to go to Black horse but I have been volunteered to help at a charity event my mother is involved in. http://www.wadsworthatheneum.org/do/posh_sale.php

maybe some of the ladies might be interested and then the significant others can go to F40 cars and coffee and then black horse..

    Hello, All -

Thanks Lane for cross promoting the Black Horse event on this thread.

FCA/NER and BHG put this on the calendar months ago and clearly have no intention of competing with our friends at F40. For those who can make it to Black Horse, great, we'd love to have you (maybe you can even squeeze both in) - please do me a favor though and PM me so I can provide BH with an accurate count.

Thank you, looking forward to meeting you next Saturday.

My father called me at 7:00am and wanted to know if I was going to Glastonbury. I told him I had a lot to do plus its wet, so no. He said it should dry out and he'll call back at 8:30am. At 8:30 he called and asked, "Are you going"? Well it was drying out but I still had a lot to do. So he said he would come over and give me a hand. He arrived about 9:00am and asked, "Are you going"? I paused and thought my dad is only here a few weeks each year, "Yeah, we're going". Boy am I glad I did. For an hour I wasn't a husband or a Dad or trying to keep a client happy. I got home at 11:00am and felt great. That feeling has stayed with me all day. Thanks guys.

Rich likes to take pictures so I finally have some to share. Hope you enjoy them.

My Dad had a landscaper do some work at his home in Las Vegas. Dad commented that he liked his 911. As it turned out he bought the car. He likes to say he spent 18K on his landscaping and the guy through in a Porsche. He shipped the car East when he came here for the summer. When he went back to Nevada he decided to try and sell the car instead of shipping it back. John is a friend who I mentioned the car to. He bought it even though I tried to talk him out of it. He has really enjoyed the car. Today was the first time my dad has seen it since it was sold, almost 4 years ago. Its nice when the prior owner and the current owner can greet each other and they're both smiling.

Dean, thanks for the pictures. I had the same delima this morning, although I had no father egging me to go so it was raking leaves and playing matchbox cars with my son (although we did have a 10 car Ferrari meet of our own on his Playschool Parking Garage). Sorry I missed it... and is that a Lambo emblem I see???

When I woke this morning I was fairly bummed. The driveway was wet and a scan of the radar was not promising. I've been missing the gathering for far to long and was looking forward to my return. I waited a bit longer and finally decided the hell with rain...the car is a mess anyway and I'll have the whole winter to clean her up. It appears the decision was apt. No rain, only a little misting from the road. I arrived to find Jays car poised in the familiar position but very much alone in Ferrari row. Mikes Truck and Davids Bimmer took up positions in the background. I hadn't noticed at the time but Jess's truck was also present. I went inside to find all the smiling faces consuming a table along with a few other new faces that I should have recognized from last Sunday. A few minutes later Phil, Brett, and Dean arrived, followed by John, Richard, and Dean H. A while later, Peter rolled in with Michelle. And at long last the warm glow of freindship surrounded me like the heat from a cozy campfire and overwelmed me. I was finally back where I belong...with my freinds.

Truely great to be in your company.

Great post Dean, glad your dad enjoyed it! And loved your 'for sale' sign...classic :D

For those who I told...I did 'win' the Ebay auction for a non-functioning shock actuator that I don't need right now. :D At $1200 for a new one, I can't resist fixing this one just in case.
