A severe crash occurred on the german autobahn A2 (Hannover - Berlin) on monday morning. A swiss Ferrari (599), driving in the left lane, crashed into the guardrail and bounced back to the middle lane where it collided with a Peugeot. Both vehicles slided into the other guardrail and finally ended up on a noise barriers' concrete pole. The crash was so heavy that both drivers died immediately. The passenger of the Peugeot was severly injured and flown to a nearby hospital, the passenger of the Ferrari was slightly injured and traumatized. Debris was scattered over an area of 250 meters in length.
The reasons for the crash remain unclear so far; a wet road and unadjusted speed are most likely causes.

May they rest in peace and may the injured get well soon.

Very sad news. Unfortunately even the autobahn isn't save for speeding when its too busy...

There's a time and place for this sort of thing, the place was right but unfortunately the time wasn't!

It surprises that the impact did not fire the drivers airbag of the 599
