Using a lift to raise the car and then bring it down onto these? I'm guessing the supports move out of the way and the underbody can be worked on.
Have pics of the underbody? Just wondering what size the individual panels are.
They look great, and I'm sure would come in handy. Surely a jig was made, as they all look identical.

Yes. Sal jacks them up and lowers them onto these. Under body shots somewhere in
    P 4/5 thread.

How timely! I've been thinking about making something like this myself (or locating a vendor to do so). I would have assumed these would be slightly beefier in construction with some cross bracing.
What does the P 4/5 weigh?

Jim, thanks for taking the time to post this up.

2650lbs. We're adding gussets to the stands.

We also made these chassis stands which work well.

Jim, can you tell me the approximate height of these stands; they look to be at least a good 18"?
    TIA

Jim- Very nice. Solid and no rocking like jack stands. I assume you will paint them the same color as P4/5, like you did for the chassis stands for the Mk IV.

Reminds me of a steel sawhorse we used on the railroad tank cars!

It fit between the rails and we'd air jack a 20,000 gallon tanker up, slip it under, kick the wheel trucks down the rails and crawl under to go to work....

thinking..."I'd be really FLAT if that thing ever failed!..."

..Just an idea...but, it looks like if you also angled the legs slightly outwards they would also be able to stack ontop of each other for storage and transport.

It IS really hard to beat oak timber cribbing......uncrushable...I keep a stack of 12" x 12" x 4"H around, for that very reason...

In a bind, you can splinter one up, to cook your rib eye....:D :D :D

Cinder blocks are extremely dangerous especially when moisture saturated...

I don't even use them when stealing mags any more.....

    If the pecan runs out.....

I think Ike left me with a lifetime supply though!

'57 came out really nice, I hope she enjoys it!

Autoweek featured the '76 Eldorado 'vert last week, talking about the 500 CI mill.....
