Here are my final results: (I am sure everybodies results will vary) My 1994 348 spider has 57kish miles (with typical ferrari synco grids in second when cold and scynro grind at some high rpm shifts) Stock oil: Cold synco grids, some gring with high RPM shifting Redline oils: NS ... better than stock, but still synco grinds cold, ok on warm shifts with minimal higher rpm synro grinds Superlight weight (yellow) w/o modifier .... increadible cold shifts (no grinds at all), good warm shifts (no grids at all, but still notchy) Superlight weight ( yellow) w modifier ... good cold shift, but deminished (minimal cold shifts grinds), ok warm shifts (minimal higher rpm grinds) Light weight (blue) .... cold shift somewhere between redline ns and redline super light weight and warm shifts seem very smooth ... probably better than the superlight weight with no high rpm grinds and minimal notchyness. The redline oils seem to heat up quicker and do not seem to have the swings that the stock oil has. In fact, the lightweight oil heat up quickly to dead center and did not move 1 centermeter ... even during a coll night drive. Hope this helps.
For now, I'll be keeping the lightweight in my car ... I am very torn between the superlight weight and the lightweight ... both seem to have thier advantages ... but since I live in TX, I am not as worrried about cold shifting as much as others.
