Just yesterday afternoon I took delivery of my 360 that I purchased from Premier Sports Cars (1,200 miles away from me). For comments on Premier please see this post- they are tops!! http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=139107172#post139107172

The car is awesome- I have dreamed of this day for years...decades even. The car is a 2000 360 coupe with 14,600 miles. This car caught my eye back in the summer for some reason- I think it was the combination of the red carpets, red stitching, tubi, and even the other odd options of the fire extinguisher and spare tire kit that drew me to this car vs another 360 (and there were relatively few clean, serviced, low mileage, red stick shifts to choose from). Anyway, I finally called about the car a few weeks ago on a whim months after seeing it, and struck a deal after a lot of diligence and investigation.

The car took about 2 weeks to get to me as they were doing some prep/detail work and we had to schedule the shipping. Even after the years of waiting and then the 2 weeks of mentally knowing I was getting this particular car, when the driver opened the truck door I simply was in shock. I could not believe that this car was mine- it was the most amazing thing! I drove the car for about an hour and went home to help feed the kids dinner....I swear I couldn't get the grin off my face when I got home- I love this car!

I have the Yoshi shields all ready to put on, and maybe in the spring I'll throw on a challenge grill. I hope to get some good driving in before they salt the roads for the first time in NJ since the car will start hibernation at that point. In the spring I'll be putting my 911 on the market- I'll miss it a lot, but I always said that the ONLY car I would sell my 911 for is a Ferrari and that day has come. Hopefully the next owner will take care of the 911 as well as it has been taken care of its whole life!

Anyway, here are some pictures (I know some may not like the red carpet, but in person I love the look even more than I did when seeing it in the pictures!)

Congrats! Best of luck and enjoy it in great health. I just took delivery of an 01 360 F1 spider last week and it is still unreal that it is parked in my garage, so I know how you feel!

Congrats. Why not keep the 911? It looks like you've got a good parking arrangement, and you can drive the 911 with the top down.

Good looking cars. Enjoy them both, I say :).

Congrats to a fine looking Ferrari. I have a 360 F1 2003 and must say I enjoy it a lot and it is trouble free. I must say I bought it sight unseen initially and someone up stairs must have protected me. My car was initially owned by a Ceo of large corporation and was well taken care of.
I have the rather rare option also of spare tire and one suggestion. As you also live in cold country unsnap those belts holding the tire etc in place as you store your car in the winter because Ferrari has used a synthetic leather that will crack when it gets cold esp if held tightly in place for summer driving. Good luck and welcome to the wonderful life of Ferrari ownership.

Thanks for all the well-wishes everyone- I had a GREAT weekend driving the car around! I'll have everything checked either in the coming weeks, or in the spring if the salt hits the roads...minor stuff- I'm going to have the brake fluid flushed and gearbox oil changed. Over the winter I'm going to inquire about clear bra/venture shield, a toddler seat for my daughter, and in the spring new front tires.

Yes those straps are crap- the bottom one that holds the tire was either already dis-connected when the car arrived or broke when I was removing the spare to check the tool boxes (it probably broke when I removed it as it looks like it is in place in the pictures I took when I first got the car). Some guy on f-chat actually had a leather shop make him a custom set of all the straps for his spare tire equipped car for who knows how much money...I'll just be careful with them and probably won't fix the one that broke (frankly I'm buying a cheap small tool set as I don't intend to use any of the ferrari tools so I won't be taking them out then re-strapping all the time- I checked that they were all there and put the tool boxes back in the plastic bags)
